Oh no!!! It happens! :P Hope it heals soon!
Matcha. I dive in too early. Which really isn’t smart cuz then I jump and could easly dump it all in my lap. And even more unfortunately I put my tea above my well being so I’d be more upset about wasting matcha than my burn.
all the time lol! my little sister got me this awesome travel mug that keeps hot liquids hot for 4 hours and cold liquids cold for 12 hours. and as a bonus for me SPILL PROOF!!! :D lol almost every time i use it i end up burning my tounge but not bad enough for me to stop trying/tasting it.
Lucky Charms last night…I guess I wasn’t very lucky…
Any tea w/ a short steeping time like pu erhs or Japanese greens (Bancha, Gen Mai Chai, and Houjicha are notorious for this because they are to be prepared w/ boiling water). Longer steeping times, especially if you don’t use a cozy, allow the tea to cool before you decant and drink it.
Ugh, I burnt my tongue (and lips) and pretty badly on some Ceylon today. Went to test it because the steeping time is shorter than I’m used to for a black tea, and accidentally tipped my mug too much and got a big gulp of it.
Yep, shorter steeping times will get you!
This is why I always drink my tea with a spoon until it’s merely warm! :P
That’s a new one! Interesting:)
Murchie’s Uva Ceylon, which I drank at work. I burnt my tongue while scooping with a plastic spoon.
