9 Tasting Notes
It was probably a bad idea to drink something caffeinated when it’s close to 2pm. Oops.
Anyways, I don’t watch this series nor plan on it. I initially picked this up for my mom since she wanted to try it, especially since she’s OBSESSED with ginger.
I noticed that the ginger smell was really potent opening the tin. It wasn’t nearly as strong when I brewed it, however.
I brewed it for 4 minutes since 5 minutes tends to make black tea too bitter for my tastes. Straight up, it was sill bitter. After trying it straight, I added a splash of milk to the tea as it recommended (I did 2%). Ok, the milk made it a lot better! I pretty much get very little bitterness with the milk and the ginger flavor was enhanced. I don’t think it even needs a sweetener, which was what the tea recommended too. Though I could try it sometime with a little bit of honey and see how that is.
I love this. I think this will probably be a new favorite of mine.
Preparation
Very fruity. It actually has a nice ruby color thanks to the hibiscus. The stevia also helps to make it naturally sweet. I do feel refreshed after drinking this, and the electrolytes and antioxidants in it are probably to blame. I should try this iced sometime, as I’m sure it’d be delicious iced. I’d imagine that this would probably be a good alternative sports drink for those that are active. My mom apparently drank half the tin by the time I got home from school, so I’m assuming she loves it. My best bet is that she’s drinking it for the potassium in it from the dates, since she needs to increase her intake.
Preparation
I’m definitely getting the orange taste, but for this brew it’s being overpowered by the bitterness of the black tea. I’ll probably lower the amount of time to brew it next time and see how it is then. And maybe I’ll try this with a little bit of sugar, either Sugar in the Raw or the Perfectea Rock Sugar from Teavana.
As it stands it’s kinda “meh” to me.
Preparation
It’s kinda weak, but it does have a good cinnamon aftertaste. Before getting the aftertaste. I only get a teeny-tiny bit of the citrus taste at first, it’s just barely there.
I think I might double the bags next time. I do like the taste, it’s just that it’s not strong enough. Plus it has good bacteria for my tummy so I give it free brownie points for that.

Preparation
Wow. This is basically green tea without the risk of it getting bitter. I usually love the grassy profile of green tea but I too often than not end up having a bitter brew. This green rooibos tea basically guarantees that it’s not bitter, getting just the full grassy taste that I love from green tea. It’s also caffeine free so that’s always a plus for anyone.
I’d say that this is a good green tea alternative if you don’t like the bitterness or if you just don’t want the caffeine from green tea without having to get a decaf version.
Next time I have this I’ll make it stronger, since right now it’s very weak being only one bag in 12oz. of water.

Preparation
I love apples. They’ve always been my favorite fruit. Unfortunately, my favorite fruit more often that not gets presented badly in tea. Usually the apple is barely there, or it’s a very bad artificial apple taste. I’m so glad I tried this tea because it has the crisp taste of apples spot-on. It is especially amplified since the tea has stevia in it, giving it a natural sweetness. The vanilla helps to balance the apple and make it an overall smooth taste.
I would say, however, that this tea may be too sweet for some palettes. If you’re not big on sweet teas, you probably won’t like this. Especially since stevia itself can be iffy for some people. I’d totally drink more of this as a dessert tea, as it has a sweet enough profile to drink it as such.
