Having this tea cold brewed as it’s getting quite warm today. Aroma is even better than when hot, lots of juicy passion fruit notes going on. The taste is a little bitter but has a smooth texture. Just green tea, the fruits are just an aroma. I only left it to brew for 3 hours in the fridge so I guess that’s why. I’m too impatient to wait for it to brew longer.
The bitterness and extra caffeine/l-theanine is making my stomach feel a little funny. I should have rinsed the tea bag to shake off some of the tea extract that’s added.
Weird tip for this tea. Inhaling through the nose while you sip somehow adds the fruit aroma to the flavour and diminishes the slight bitterness.
I’ve been taking some time to “sipdown” many of the teas in my cupboard, hence so few reviews being posted the last week or so. No point repeating myself unless there’s something new to add.

Thank you Steepster for reminding me to review what I’m drinking today! I started my morning with a strong cup of Superberry Samba because of the high caffeine contents. I save this tea for when I need a real boost of energy.
It tastes quite bitter and strong, but after those first few sips you get a lovely passionfruit flavour with a little berry goodness. Needs a generous teaspoon of sugar if you’re not keen on that astringent start to your day.
I wrote a lot more about this tea, but I won’t bore you with it here. Bottom line: it’s super fruity and one hell of a tea kick! Read more of my review on my humble blog if you’re interested https://www.immortalwordsmith.co.uk/zest-tea-superberry-samba-review/

Finishing this sample as I settle in at home. I’m feeling glued to the couch, so I need a boost. This one will be missed. I’m probably going to end up making an order with Zest Tea. I could never handle this as a daily work tea, but on the weekends when I’m a human slug, it sure is handy.

Another from Sips by. I had been waiting to try this one because I’m caffeine sensitive and need to try stuff like this in a low stakes environment. Luckily, this is my Friday night and I am free to make bad sleep decisions.
I’ve actually tried this brand’s Earl Grey, too, but I think I was on Steepster hiatus then. It was good. Not spectacular, but pretty good.
Anyway. Apple cinnamon has been a flavor dear to my heart my whole life. Steeped, the cinnamon smells like Red Hots. I’m not sure about that. Artificial cinnamon is always a bit of a letdown. Luckily, it doesn’t taste super artificial. However, there is that weird bitterness you get from stuff that has had caffeine added to it. Leaves your mouth kinda tingly. The apple flavor is present, but falls behind the cinnamon. All around, the taste here is mild. This is a gently flavored tea that could probably stand a longer steep time than I gave it.
EDIT: The caffeine certainly offers a potent boost. Upped my heart rate and motivated me to get off the couch. I am talking much faster than I normally do.

Oh, good hint! I have some Zest that I don’t drink after lunch. Didn’t know it was that easy to lower the caffeine level a bit.
