Preparation
Nice light green tea with a hint of jasmine, not too strong which I like. My parents love the Home Goods/Marshalls/KMart reduced tea selection so I always seem to find these heavily reduced teabags in my pantry and they always seem like the saddest toys in the shop. The teabag is so small and the tea packed so tightly that it just kind of sits there like a rusty coin. Maybe I’ll try ripping it open and throwing it into my mesh strainer.
This is my go-to green tea because it is 100% organic. I love the taste, even when steeped very strong.
I also have used this tea to make cosmetics such as toners and face masks and It worked quite well.
The only downfall to this tea I would say is that it is a bagged tea – I prefer loose leaf teas.
Found this At Winners 100 bags for 6 bucks and you get what you pay for i usally shy away from bagged teas and this was a reminder as to why, i need to drink this as part of a new diet and this seemed like a practical solution to keep in my purse just in case.
taste is fine nothing great but not bad either, just a plain old green tea.
Preparation
This tea wasn’t anything special hot so I gave it a shot iced. Unfortunately the same steeping time/temp was too much for it and the result was too strong and ‘green’ tasting without much mango flavour. I’ll give it a do over and dial things down to see if that improves matters.
Preparation
This is a quite a green-tasting green tea that makes me think of slightly under-ripe mangoes rather than the soft, dripping- with-juice, fully-ripe mangoes. The flavour of the tea is full and quite robust for a green tea. Not bad, I guess.
Preparation
My mom and I were shopping today and leave it to us to find tea in a place I didn’t expect to. We found cubes of this in a TJ MAX store for $5.99 for 100 bags. What the heck we both bought a cube of it. Neither of us is disappointed, for a teabag this is not bad. Light green tea with a nice mango flavor! On a side note, also found some organic agave nectar for a great price too! It was a GREAT shopping day! :)
TTB Tea #12:
I do believe this may be my 1st bagged white tea.
1 bag (1.91g)/6oz water. I really toned down the water temp for this. Boiling? I don’t think so.
The liquor is… well… apricot color. A muted, dull orange w/ tints of amber, brown, and tan. It’s very rare that a tea’s liquor so closely resembles the flavor.
The aroma is mainly apricot which makes it have jello-like qualities, but the white tea base comes thru to tone that down.
Interesting. It tastes virtually nothing like hot jello which is good. I’m quite picky about fruit flavored teas, especially those w/ a white base, for that very reason… but this is nice. The white tea base is light, but still solid enough that the apricot only sneaks thru instead of yelling “HI! I’M AN APRICOT TEA!” Exceeded my expectations of both a flavored white and a bagged tea of low weight- the weight concerned me since 2.25g of white tea can be over 1TB worth.
Preparation
This is my second note for this tea. It gets a plus for being green and a plus for being organic. Its very easy to drink with jasmine and grassy notes. I sip it in the evening as its very low in caffeine and is very relaxing.
Preparation
This is a delicate green tea with hints of Jasmine. This is not a strong tea. I’m drinking it in the evenings when I wind down. I drink this tea with 1/2 tsp of raw cane sugar. I found this tea at T.J.Maxx, very inexpensive.
Preparation
I made a pot of iced tea out of this for myself and the boyfriend-creature. It has a wonderful fruity, refreshing flavour and while I sweetened it with a bit of honey it’s also great unsweetened.
I haven’t been making much iced tea lately because of the cold weather, but I got sick of having nothing to drink except water (we need to go grocery shopping). :D
Preparation
Another tea I haven’t had in awhile. It’s not the best flavoured tea out there – the apricot is a bit on the artificial-tasting side, but I surprise myself by really enoying it. If you feel like a nice, lightly-sweet, unpretentious white tea, I think this would be a good candidate.
Preparation
I felt like something nice and light-tasting this evening to sip as I write. Despite the scorn certain people have expressed about bagged tea I love the convenience and really, what does it matter so long as the tea tastes good and you’re happy with it?
