TeaSpree

This is an unusual blend. The first couple of sips, I assumed that it had pretty much lost its flavor (it is an old tisane) because I tasted nothing but rooibos, but, now I taste pepper. It’s like pepper and rooibos, with a lovely hint of magnolia. I actually quite like this… the flavor of the rooibos goes nicely with the peppery note. Different, but, enjoyable.

I had a bag of this from TeaEqualsBliss. I’m drinking lots of bagged teas right now cause my new work location doesn’t make having a tea infuser easy in the office. This one was really great. I hate having caffeine at work because it makes me all energetic and then I just sit there for hours. Sucky! So I went with this rooibos.

So, I didn’t really expect to like this since I usually depend on flavoring to hide the unpleasant aspects of rooibos flavor. But this rooibos was just smooth and sweet. Not bad at all, really. I was sad when my cup emptied. But then I just had another tea bag so life’s pretty good. :)

It was a nice and spicy rooibos! For those who don’t like hibiscus you can’t taste it.

I have been sitting on this one for a while too and it ended up being one of my faves so far from TeaSpree. It has that Rooibos-Type Taste you would expect but the almond is just right with it. It does have a smoothness to it too! I like this!

I thought I had logged this one previously, but apparently not.

This is my last of this particular tea… it’s a decent Earl Grey with a pleasing balance of flavors. The bergamot tastes like citrus and does not have that perfume-y aftertaste (a good thing!) The black tea is bright and delicious.

A very good cuppa!

The aroma is so delicate but it is very alluring… this tea smells a lot softer than many Jasmine teas, but the scent is so beautiful!

The flavor is fantastic. The jasmine note is so light and refreshing, and the green tea tastes very fresh with very little vegetative note. It just tastes sweet and light and luxurious! I love it!

I thought I had tried this before today, but, I guess I hadn’t. Either that or I neglected to log it.

This smells very good, I love the nutty almond aroma of the dry leaf. The woodsy fragrance from the rooibos seems to enhance the scent… the brewed liquor smells a bit more of rooibos than it does of almonds.

This is a very decent cup of rooibos. Rooibos isn’t my favorite. I’m not a big fan of the odd sort of sweetness it offers but here, the almond flavor counteracts that a little bit and creates a very drinkable tisane. I can taste the woodsy note of the rooibos and I can taste the nutty flavor of the almond and these work well together. It would be even better if there were chocolate in this blend……

Good solid and bold black tea in a silk pyramid with a semi-sweeter ending!

This is yummy!

The vanilla is enhanced with licorice, ginger, cinnamon and cloves, making what I thought would be an ordinary vanilla rooibos blend something quite extraordinary. I am really enjoying it. The flavors are seamless. YUM!

This is fairly mellow in every way…but relaxing I suppose. Mostly Rooibos flavor with a ever-so-slight-hint of vanilla.

Just finishing up a cup of this tea. A very pleasant green tea, mild, nutty and sweet. Hints of grassy undertones. Very enjoyable.

This is a fairly straightforward green tea… pleasant vegetative taste, smooth and sweet, with a hint of nutty flavor.

Very good, Nice flavor.

This is an average Earl Grey – the one positive I must note is that it’s not overly bergamotty. Yes Bergamotty…it’s a word…I just made it up! Call Webster!

This blend of flavors looks interesting to say the least…what a name, too, eh!?

Well, this smells unlike anything I have ever smelled before! Once infused/steeped – I can pick out the rooibos and hibiscus scent tho…

The color is really neat…it’s a orange/red/brown color…very rich.

WHOA. WOW. Not sure about this…but I will try…
It’s HOT…like spicy hot. It’s tart from the hibiscus. It’s cactus-like. It’s Peppery. Blah. Yeah…Peppery…more and more peppery as I sip.

LOVE that they were creative with this one but it’s totally NOT my cup…

An awesome cup of tea for first thing in the morning (well, it’s first thing in the morning for me). Bold and brisk and full of flavor. Malty! Pleasant sweetness to it too. This is the last of this tea in my stash, I’m going to miss it!

Nice! I’m increasing the numeric rating on this one because I don’t think I realized just how good it was last time!

This is a very satisfying cuppa! The tea flavor is very well rounded and rich tasting. It has a hint of honey-esque sweetness to it. I can also taste notes of flower and even a woodsy tone to it. It is a very deep and complex flavor… really good for a sachet! REALLY good!

One of the better “bagged” black teas I’ve tried (although, I don’t really think sachets belong in the same category as the old fashioned bags).

These are pyramid tea bags – silky and see-thru. They don’t really ‘stand’ like TeaForte but their colors for their site and packaging is very vibrant and classy. It smells WARM – if that makes sense and like a mellower green tea. It’s a nice, mellow yet smoother green tea with no funky aftertaste, This is ok! :)
