drank Pumpkin Spice by Tea4u

This is a little dank. I taste rooibos that’s not the most delicious, and there’s some kind of flavor, but I wouldn’t call it pumpkin spice. It’s all just muddled and meh. It was fun meeting the company’s owner in Toronto, but I unfortunately didn’t love any of the four teas I bought.

It really makes me wonder when I try dank blends. Like, did the blend just get mixed yp over time or did they just not know how to vle d properly or maybe their taste buds are that different?

AJRimmer

I mostly only taste it in rooibos blends, so my theory has always been that companies feel like they have to make rooibos blends even though they don’t personally like rooibos. So when it comes out dank they think that’s normal and rooibos enjoyers will like it.

drank Madagascar Almond Spice by Tea4u

I assumed this would be yet another forever nuts imitation, but it’s actually quite tart and fruity. It’s sort of dusty and meh tasting. The spices are decently strong too. I drink this with added soy milk, which curdles a little, but it really needs the help. My problems with it are the same as my problems with the pumpkin pie blend. Why is there hibiscus here? It doesn’t fit the flavor profile at all.

drank Pumpkin Pie by Tea4u

I bought this in Toronto! It tastes somewhat similar to the pumpkin pie tea I had from Sips by recently that tasted like Thai curry. I taste savory spices, and it doesn’t remind me of pumpkin pie. The annoying thing about this one is that it has hibiscus? So it’s a little tart and fruity, which doesn’t fit the vibe at all and is pretty confusing. It also makes my soy milk curdle a little, which I just put up with rather than stopping using it. Ha this one just annoys me every time I drink it. It has potential, but they made so many wrong choices.

This tea tastes sort of like spiced cranberry? It’s a bit too tart at times, and sometimes the flavors don’t combine that smoothly. Sometimes it tastes a little dusty. It doesn’t end up feeling very sophisticated. I drank my entire 2+ ounce pouch pretty quickly, so I must not have been too opposed to the flavors. It was best cold with lots of sugar.

I needed something to warm me up and since I don’t have a steeping basket here, well this was it. A comforting, non specific berryful cuppa. It did the job.
Also something vaguely chocolate like in the background.
Had the raspberry one as well today, though it isn’t in the database here and I’ve gotta head to a meeting. It’s less berry like though I did oversteep it by a min or two. A hint of tartness hanging around, though not really in a “berry” way. I’m just glad for the change from Tim Horton’s tea!!!
No sugar added.

drank Cardamom Tea by Tea4u

Interesting. Cardamom, yes…. but then also something oddly floral in a natural way. I don’t think it was a separate addition. But does cardamom ever get floral ish? Maybe it was the base black tea… I had to add milk because it was a little spicy and I needed to temper the intensity. Experimenting, I added some sugar and that seemed to enhance the floral. Not what I expected, but I’d have it again for a change.

Something else. Am I the only one who gets sad when reading someone reviews and it says so and so passed…. and then you realize oh, they didn’t perish, just passed on some tea. No matter what, it gives me a start every single time and I’m really not sure why….

Marzipan

Cardamom is totally floral.

Indigobloom

Huh, I had no idea. Figured all this time it was just a spice!! :)
