Nourish Tea

I found this tea rather bitter in taste as opposed to the more grassy seaweed type flavor I am used to with Matcha. The color is a muddier green versus the brighter greens. I did find it easy to mix. It isn’t bad tea. I prefer other brands however.

This tea is ideal for afternoon tea or after eating sushi. It has a perfume like flavour and a big part of enjoying this tea experience is watching the tiny pearls unwrap themselves as they fill with water.

This peppermint tea is positively delightful. I found it at the grocery store, oddly enough, and although it was on the expensive side (I believe $8.95 for 45g), I’ve been trying to find a deep, flavourful, earthy, sinus clearing, eye stinging, strong peppermint. So, I was willing to shell out a little bit of extra cash in the pursuit of this tea.
First off, I love its simplicity. I know, I know, why wouldn’t it be simple? It’s peppermint. But there’s something so innocent and sweet about peppermint tea.
This one is actually quite strong. I used 3 tsp for about 20 oz. I also used my Brewt (http://www.brewts.com/brewt_brewt.cfm) for this tea, in order to extract all of its peppermint-y delight. I’m also being a weirdo and pouring it out of my Brewt sip by sip, just so it stays hot and keeps steeping. But hey, I can do it, so why not?
It’s currently a perfect amber liquor. I am enjoying it immensely. It has succeeded in actually: Burning my eyes, clearing my sinuses, and has accomplished a deep, full body. But where is the earthiness? When I say earthiness, I almost want my peppermint to have a bit of a raw, dirt-like taste underneath. I don’t want my peppermint tea to taste like dirt, but I want it to taste like it came from the ground. A little bit. Of course, I’m comparing to the best peppermint tea I’ve ever had – and you can only purchase it at Ste. Anne’s Spa (or online) here in Ontario, which runs at $14 per 35g. http://www.steannes.com/tea.html.
Anyway, in conclusion, for a grocery store purchase, it’s all systems go. GOOD ENOUGH!

I wasn’t going to get this, but then my mother picked it up and loved it. I wasn’t sure about picking up a pre-packaged white tea, especially from a grocery store. Aren’t white teas supposed to be far too delicate for the grocery store treatment? Well, colour me surprised once again by this company! This tea tastes a whole heck of a lot like the white needle tea I bought a few years ago from one of the fancy tea shops downtown, and many (many!) of the leaves have the white needle appearance, delicate fuzzy covering and all. Deeeelicious.

Pleasant, light on bergamot. I find it tastes better with a cooler and somewhat longer steep.

Just bought this tea. Its a good tea, but it isnt really anything speacial. Just a regular orange pekoe tea.

Resteeped this at the end of the day, and added pieces of fresh strawberry and mango (!) – Yum!!

Half awake this morning I grabbed this to have with my breakfast – went over the steeping time a little but added milk and it turns out it wasn’t too strong. The flavour was not too bad this time, though again I was just waking up so can’t comment too much. ;P
