You can’t expect much from a gift shop tea, and it’s clearly not for people who are used to tea. Blended with ginger, apricot and other fruits, the aroma is spectacular but the flavor is dull and confusing. Bitter tasting for a long steep, and not a very pleasant tea in general.

I love the name of this tea! But too bad it’s just plain apricot.

AmazonV

the ingredients say there are other flavors hiding in there…they just don’t seem to be coming out to say hi!

Bad… but not that bad.
The jasmine flavor is not strong enough to block out the green tea flavor completely so there is some kind of balance… I didn’t say it was a great balance but whatever…
It’s better than bentley’s.
It’s got a cute little disney flower picture on it… that’s nice.
Yea I didn’t like this one. But… it’s not horrible…

Imagine my surprise at seeing a picture I took and posted on my blog (Rosemary’s Sampler) on this site! I will accept it as a compliment, I guess. This tea is enjoyable, if you like flavored black teas!

i just had to make a cup :) its been calling to me ever scene my last post about it.
it is a very smooth and fruity tea. i would love to try this iced but i have noticed my mug is now empty ;) maybe with a second infusion? it is defiantly not an every day cup in my book, but for someone who is bonkers for apricots it may be. i only wish it tasted more like a flavored black and not an herbal.

I just rated Mad Party Tea based on a hot tea, and I think it would be delightful iced, too!

TeaEqualsBliss reminded me that i have this :p
i like all the colors in the tea. and does it ever smell like apricots! its very tasty. it is a very soothing flavor, with no bitter notes. ah Disney you never seem to fail me (unless you count fox and the hound 2, and the lion king 1 1/2)

Taken with a little sugar.
The first time I made this I followed the instructions on the box thinking that even if it was a green Disney might have had a reason for saying bring the water to a boil… They don’t know what they are talking about so for trying the remainder of their teas I’m going to use my own know how and make them the way that it will taste good.
So… the tea really smells like fake blueberry! And it tastes fake like blueberry candy too! So if you like artificial blueberry candy (like I do oddly enough) you’ll love this.
And in case you were wondering about the ‘tea’ part of it… Disney took the vast majority of green tea flavor out the equation so you don’t have to worry about it mucking with your fake blueberries!
I know the only reason I like this is because it’s an Alice tea… there is no real merit to this tea what-so-ever… but I’m ok with that.
*This review is TOTALLY biased by my Disney nostalgia. But honnestly it’s not bad… and I have told the truth about what it tastes like. But if it were any other company I would have ripped it apart and not told you of my love of blueberry candies.

Trish McEvoy makes this candle called Wild Blueberry Vanilla. It was a bit of a splurge, but it’s lasted me all year and it was sooooo worth it. Makes me melt with its goodness.

Kitch3ntools

im a bit of a disney nerd (drinking out of my lion king mug right now) so i totally get where your coming from with the biased opinion :) (i have one too lol) now that i know it tastes like blueberry candies, i wish i bought some of that too :)

Madison Bartholemew

The only annoying this about the disney tea is it doesn’t seem like you can just get individual flavors. I can only find the 3 tin or 12 hat pack.
Unless you would like to tell me I’m wrong which would make me happy!

I took this with one tsp sugar and milk…. and without anything.
Without anything it’s bland… a liptonesk plain black with the smell if anything of vanilla.
And then you put milk and sugar in it and the flavors do open up.
The tea itself is mild with little to any astringency and with milk and sugar it is rich, sweet and smooth.
AND PLAIN!
You know that tea that you go back to when you are just trying to enjoy watching a movie and it’s late so you want so caffeine but you don’t want to worry about mucking up you cup by missing a timer or anything silly?
This is mine.
*Yes… I like older Disney movies … so I may be a bit biased for the novelty.

I thought I opened this prior to now but I was wrong. How did I let this get by me? Regardless…here is the review…It is a true black looking tea. The French Vanilla Aroma is strong prior to steeping, just starting to steep, and maybe a little bit after steeping a while. The barely-there French Vanilla Taste is ok with me as I am not a Vanilla Freak but if you are looking for boo-koo Vanilla this is not it. It’s a fairly strong over all black tea taste with a hint of french vanilla for a bagged tea but it’s really the Disney Memories that come thru on this tea, isn’t it!? All-in-All fairly good bagged tea.

I didn’t know Disney also dealt in tea. Well well. Inspiring though… eyes kettle

Auggy

Uh oh. I fell a vanilla wave coming on.

TeaEqualsBliss

@ Angrboda – check out the other Disney Teas I logged…some are better than others but still fun regardless.
@ Auggy – LOL – time will tell!?

Jillian

Yes, a vanilla wave would be awesome! dives into her tea cupboard to see what she has XD

“boo-koo Vanilla” raises eyebrow As a Canadian can I murder you for mangling the French language? Please? ;P

TeaEqualsBliss

LOL – I was raised near the N. Falls Area – NY side – so I sometimes spell things with the “U” but the boo-koo is just a personal slang word, I guess, not an intentional botch of the Canadian…I LOVE Canada! :P

Jillian

I know, I’m just being silly (and anal!) because I was in french immersion during school. Not sure how a Quebecois would react though, some of them can be quite millitant about their language! XD

TeaEqualsBliss

I hear ya! LOL :)

I was skeptical. The balanced taste of this tea and the warm apricot overtones convinced me that Disney really can do tea. This is not a challenging or bitey tea, and its surprising lack of acidity makes it a really good choice when you just want a nice soothing tea. It isn’t what I would serve at a mad tea party, but it is exactly what I would pull out to comfort a heartbroken friend (and it would go quite well with salted chocolate)

I couldn’t agree more teaequalsbliss!! The blueberry is intense but satisfying.

As I took the first bag from the box the scent was awful but I followed thru with it. I began to steep and the aroma morphed into something more of a Lemon-Honey than the undesirable first-scent. It’s Yellowish in color. Once you taste it you can taste more lemon than honey and more of both than chamomile but the chamomile is still present. I must say that the smell and the taste are quite different. Almost like once you smell it you think you know what it is going to taste like but then it’s so NOT the case. It’s an average cup…not tremendous but not bad. I’ll give it a thumbs up but not much over a neutral.

A little milder than most English Breakfasts but still fairly good.

A nice mild Chai. Not the spicy kind, just plain and mild. Fairly satisfying.
