Backlog:

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to given my usual negative reaction to ginseng. But in truth, I have had more positive experiences with ginseng than I’ve had negative … but the fact still remains that I tend to think “eww” when I encounter a ginseng blend.

But this is good. If I have to have ginseng … this is the way to do it.

The berry flavor is strong in this, I tasted currants, strawberries and notes of blackberry. Yum! The green tea flavor is slightly obscured by the other ingredients, and that would be my only big complaint about this tea. But I enjoyed it nevertheless.

I’ve decided to do at least 1 herbal tisane or tonic per night at least on weeknights that is. I found this from a while back and forgot to open it! I will be sending the rest to my Sororitea Sister LiberTEAs!

For all of the herbally ingredients this has the taste is quite nice and soothing. I am rather surprised at that fact. There are hints of naturally sweet and almost fruit like notes underneath but the herbs are mingling very well to create their own unique flavor once they join hands! Not bad at all :)

A very lovely jasmine pearl. Sweet and silky jasmine flavor with a smooth tea base. Delightful and restorative.

I’m had a similar tisane from another company and hated it. This one I can at least finish the cup but it’s not something I would ever buy. The Licorice is the prominent flavor. The mint is barely there – not enough for my liking – and not enough to cover the licorice…

It’s meh.

The aroma of this is more Quince than Jasmine and I’m super excited about that! It sort of reminds me of the smell of Jolly Rangers. And I don’t mean those little bite-sized ones either…I mean the ones from the late 80s that were HUGE like at least 4-6inches and flat…now THOSE are Jolly Ranchers! Anyhow…

Special thanks to my SororiTEA Sister for this one, too! I can’t say as I have had too many or any Quince flavored teas but after tasting this one I surely want to try more!

The sweet green tea taste is delightful – the quince was MADE for this tea and it’s juicy but not tart in the slightest – and the Jasmine isn’t over the top or even that strong at all but gives it an overall ‘pretty’ factor that completes the sip it seems.

The Quince is the Key and it is good! I really like this! REALLY like this! It’s MARVY!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me a wee bit of this tea!

I wanted to try this tea sometime when I felt I needed it, and tonight seemed as good a night as any after the yummy pizza I had for dinner. This is a very good “functional” tea, one of the better tasting digestive teas I’ve tried. The fennel adds a pleasant licorice-like taste to the cup. A nice combination of flavors: licorice-y, lemon-y, minty.
Yummy!

I’m drinking Skin…

TEA!

Thanks LiberTEAs for this one!

Before infusing this one smells like peppermint then ginger then rose and lemongrass.

After infusing it smells like a medley of herbs.

The color is a light brown-green.

The taste is pretty good! The peppermint I notice first but then I can taste something like licorice – oddly – but the ginger jumps in to say hello followed by lemongrass and hints of floral notes hiding out in the background.

This is better than I thought it would be. It’s satisfying and fairly pleasant. A pretty solid herbal, I suppose!

I like this one. It has a lightly sweet, fruit taste to it – and it is very lightly flavored. It tastes fresh, slightly vegetative from the green tea, and the sweet/tart fruit taste is more in the background. It’s delicious and delicate and very refreshing! It is certainly one of my favorites from this company.

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for a sampling of this tea!

After a spicy snack, this really helped to cool the palate! I love the fresh, invigorating taste that doesn’t overstimulate. Pure and organic. Simple! I like it!

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this!

I am not one to sing the praises of chamomile very often because it isn’t my favorite herb, but, this one is pretty good as far as chamomile goes. It has a very gentle, fruit-y flavor and brews clean (it isn’t a bunch of chamomile dust!).

This one is a good one!

Special Thanks to LiberTEAs for this one!!!

I agree with her in saying this is an INCREDIBLE Jasmine! I really didn’t know Jasmine could taste like this! Amazing!

Very sweet and clean and SMOOTH…very soothing…

No stale or perfumy type after taste that lingers (in a bad way) if you know what I mean! This is MY KIND OF JASMINE!!!!

Another lovely sample from LiberTEAs! Thanks girl!

This is clean, crisp, delicate, non-nonsense, type white tea! Semi-sweet, semi-floral, semi-nutty. Very lovely! Refreshing!

First half of this cuppa…
PLAIN – no additives!
It looks like coffee and tastes like coffee. I don’t think I like that in tea. I mean it’s tea (or in this case a tisane) not coffee, but I can see why people would be interested in a coffee alternative.

This is REALLY strong and it tastes just like coffee but with a little cinnamon in it.

Based on my personal tastes for this tea – I don’t really care for it. As for someone who LOVES and is addicted to the taste of coffee – they would probably like this!

I’m sampling the 2nd half of the cup with chocolate milk just for the heck of it…

Not much better but easier going down…

This really isn’t my cuppa tea (or coffee) SORRY.

I receive this one from LiberTEAs as well. This is a bit too much ginger for me, personally, in a herbal that only has 2 ingredients. I would have enjoyed more lemongrass and less ginger. The ginger is really strong. I think I got more ginger than LiberTEAs did…the bottom of the package had a powder substance fly out…and I assume that was the ginger.

If I were sick…I think this would be a nice companion. However, I am not sick and can taste the ginger quite a bit. I can and will finish the cup but this wouldn’t be on my list to purchase.

There are MANY other Byron Bay Teas I would choose over this. I understand it serves a purpose, tho, and I respect that! If you LOVE ginger and I mean the peppery-ginger…give this a whirl…it just may knock your socks off!

LiberTEAS

It is very possible that you got more ginger than I did. I always gently shake little packages like this to get an even distribution of spices, but, perhaps I didn’t shake it enough.

TeaEqualsBliss

No worries! :) It happens! LOL

Another selection from LiberTEAs! Thanks Girlie!

The leaves of this are a brighter green than I have ever seen! Almost Neon. Like the freshest peas you have ever seen…that kind of green!

There is an aroma that is very subtle – almost reminds me of plain white rice.

The flavor is very light but pleasant. It’s a little sweet but also a little buttery. It’s incredibly clean and I think is what I will remember about this one! :)

This is one that needs a little sweetening for me… otherwise I find the flavors are a bit too harsh (overwhelmingly so) and it is a little off-putting to me. But I find that a drizzle of honey helps to soften the edge and it is pretty good like that.

A sweet cup with a strong licorice flavor and a nice minty aftertaste.

Another note: I had a bit of heart burn before I started drinking this tisane, and that is gone now. This tisane is better than antacids!

Amazing! This has to be one of the best Jasmine teas I’ve yet to taste!

Smells incredible… tastes even better. Smooth and SOFT (not as in no flavor, but a soft texture that somehow translates to the flavor so effortlessly). So so so good!

drank Skin by Byron Bay Tea Company

My immediate reaction to just about any herbal blend is a slight cringe. I have quite enjoyed a lot of herbal teas, but, it just seems that when it comes right down to it, they worry me a bit, because not all herbal teas “work.”

This one DOES! Even though I was a little scared of this one, it is actually quite nice. The peppermint is strong but doesn’t overpower the other ingredients. I love the combination of lemongrass and ginger in this – the lemongrass smooths out some of the stronger ginger-y notes, and makes this a very palatable blend.

This doesn’t come off as medicine-y tasting to me. The rose in this is a nice touch and gives it a pleasant floral sweetness.

Very nice!

‘Skin’? It makes me think of a tea made of human skin. 0_o

Yeah, I have to say that the name is pretty unappealing in my opinion!

This is one of the most unusual tisanes I’ve ever encountered. It tastes like coffee!

The dandelion in the blend seems to lend a somewhat bitter tone to the background that is very coffee-ish, and the wattleseed is malty and nutty and adds a rich flavor that is also very coffee-ish. The cinnamon is distinctive and delicious.

It is very good! Surprisingly good.

drank Oolong by Byron Bay Tea Company

Currently on infusions # 3/4 and the flavor becomes even more unique – the floral flavor becomes more intense, but, at the same time, so does the buttery note, and they seem to become one seamless note. Delightful!

My day always seems to be a bit better when I have some Oolong! This has a lovely floral note to it that cuts through some of the buttery tones – I love the buttery tones, but sometimes, it’s nice for them to be a bit lighter, because I’ve had a few Oolongs where the buttery notes were quite heavy. Here, they are light.

A very pleasant Oolong. Smooth, a bit lighter in flavor than some Oolongs. Lovely!

The aroma of the dry leaf is very prominently ginger, as it brews, more of the lemongrass comes through, but the ginger remains dominant.

This is really nice to sip on a chilly evening such as this. It really warms me up! I also like how the lemongrass curbs some of the more peppery notes of the ginger – it’s not too gingery, but not too much lemongrass either. It’s very nice.

This is a deliciously pure Pai Mu Tan with a crisp, clean flavor. It is remarkably delicate and yet flavorful at the same time. Pleasing notes of flower and fruit come through. It is sweet and relaxing.

I will be writing a more in-depth review of this for the Tea Review Blog very soon!
