This is like an orange spice that isn’t terrible. (I really dislike orange spice!) It’s a moderate spice flavor- coriander/clove taste- mixed with citrus. I used about 1 1/2 tsp for 16 oz but I think I’ll try more tea next time because the flavor is lighter than I prefer.

Overall a cider taste with no off-notes. A little too sweet for my taste, but it’s a tasty tea. I got this as a sample, not sure if I’d necessarily buy more.

Had high hopes for this tea as it involves all my favorite flavors- chocolate, cinnamon, coconut. Nothing tastes right about this tea and the amount of oil and tea bits floating in this tea made it unappealing. It’s like all the flavors need to be increased. I’ll try it with more tea next time and see if that helps.

drank Coffee Cake by DAVIDsTEA

I got this as a sample from David’s Tea, though it was a replacement for another sample I requested. I tend to like dessert teas, though finding a good one is a challenge. There’s something off-putting about this tea. The overall flavor is bitter vanilla butter. The aftertaste is bitter and artificial, though I find that to be a theme with a number of David’s Teas I’ve had.

Flavors: Butter, Cake, Vanilla

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 5 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 14 OZ / 414 ML

This makes a delicious cup of tea. I bought it without tasting it at the Coffee and Tea Festival in Brooklyn. The chocolate flavor isn’t too heavy and the coconut is more noticeable than the chocolate I think. It definitely still tastes like tea, which sometimes gets lost on heavily flavored teas. Overall I it has a great balance and I’m planning to get more.

The flavor of this tea is spicy bubblegum and I’m not sure how anyone can taste anything else. I had to write a review because I was so disappointed in the flavor. I thought I was going to love it and it would taste like dried chili spiced mango slices, but it quite literally tastes like a gumball sprinkled with cayenne. I’m trying to find a way to get through it.

I’ve tasted and owned a lot of tea, and I have to say this is my favorite black tea. Possibly my favorite tea in all. The flavor is a mix of nutty and cocoa and it’s a perfect blend. Chocolate tea is hard to get right and this does it perfectly. I like it hot, but I imagine it would make a great latte too. I drink it solo in my David’s Tea Nordic Mug, which I’d also recommend!
