Yeah well ummm too tart for me – I had to add far too much sugar to enjoy it and then well it was far too much sugar.
I can tell there are some amazing flavors lurking in there waiting to take front and center stage but once again a good blend ruined by filler (hibiscus) SIGH.
Not terrible – I drank one full cup (6oz) but dumped the rest.
:(
Nonetheless I do want to thank Sandy I know I sound TERRIBLY ungrateful and I don’t mean to – it looks beautiful smells great and should be a wonderful blend I just can’t get past the tart. I have never liked tart much though not in candy or desserts or pretty much anything.
So Sandy thank you for being so generous to share this with me I do appreciate it. I have enough left for at least 2 or 3 more cups if anyone would like it.

I hate when hibiscus overpowers every other flavor—used in moderation it can be nice, but it’s often applied so heavy-handedly that teas get unbearably tart.

TeaBrat

I’ve had too many Teavana experiences exactly like that.. :(

momo

I blended this with Blackberry Mojito, oddly adding more hibiscus-heavy tea made it far more bearable.

Oh man, I hate when that happens with hibiscus! I didn’t originally understand why so many people hated it, but now that I’ve seen so many teas ruined by it, I’m starting to hate it too. Especially in an iced tea, I feel like hibiscus can totally ruin it – when I get iced teas in stores, I now specifically request that they only recommend me teas without that ingredient.

Azzrian

Yeah and I don’t mind sweet tea either it was just way too much. But others really liked it so maybe its just me!

Sandy Stith

You aren’t ungrateful. You’ve seen my posts, too. =)

Azzrian

Thanks Sandy! :)

Lucky for me I love tart flavors and I really don’t mind hibiscus. :)

If I still have any of the sample laying around I will put it in your box but this is not the same one I already listed that I am sending to you. Hummm I don’t know how much of this she sent – will look :)

Azzrian

Wow maybe it is the same because I am not getting anything labeled JUST Strawberry Sangria to come up. Now I have confused myself even.

Scatterbrain

Oh okay. You don’t have to do that for me if you don’t want to, I just thought maybe you made a typo because I couldn’t find strawberry sangria on steepster.

Most of my reviews will be “snippits” of full reviews that can be found at http://sororiteasisters.com/
Posted every evening at 6 EST.
I usually try to post the exact date that the full reviews will post however sometimes post dates need changed so it may not always be correct. Generally the dates are correct however.

About Me:

Most of my reviews, although not all, will be quite favorable of the tea. This is not because all tea is excellent, but more so because I generally will not waste my time on an inferior tea. If I do not care for a tea I won’t continue to drink it let alone spend time reviewing it. If you see a review by me you basically know it is a quality tea. Granted it may not suit your specific taste buds, we all like different things, but as for a tea on the whole it is a good one, from a good company.

I am a spiritual advisor by profession.
I have two “young adult” children.
Four cats and three dogs.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, essential oil therapy, natural perfumery with essential oils, and cooking.

I look for complexity overall in any tea, dimensions to the flavors.

I believe tea should evoke a feeling, thought, emotion, or attitude.

I enjoy most all oolongs, blacks, whites, and greens.

I always love to try a good yellow tea.

I favor unadulterated teas but I do have my longings for a good flavored tea now and then so I don’t rule them out by any means!

I enjoy green rooibos don not like red rooibos.
