31 Tasting Notes
I just picked up some more of this from my grocery store, and I tasted something I never tasted before – a chocolaty note! DELICIOUS. Maybe i’m noticing it because this new batch of tea is fresher…idk – but this tastes even better than I remembered it!
Preparation
I FINALLY made this tea correctly today. Using Teavana’s Perfect Tea Maker, I steeped this bloom for 3mins at 180F, and the flavor was delicate but definitely present. In the past, I’ve had problems with oversteeping this tea, but I never new how bad of a job I was doing until I did it right! I’ve gotten 4 good steeps out of one bloom today—increasing the steep time by 30 seconds each steep after the first. Sucks that I only figured out how to properly brew this yummy tea when I’m down to my last 3 blooms!
Preparation
Fun to watch, delicious to drink! I steeped this in a Teavana glass tumbler, and I didn’t take the bloom out. It didn’t get bitter/astringent. The strawberry is stronger than other strawberry/white teas that I’ve tired, but it’s not overpowering.
Preparation
What can I say that hasn’t already be said? I love this tea! A&D managed to get a bunch of bold, strong teas to live and work together in harmony! This is absolutely my most favorite black tea right now. And yes, I too was a sucker for the sweater-knit AT-ATs on the label =)
Preparation
I’m not really experienced with high-quality black tea (I’ve drank low-quality teabags whenever I’ve drank black tea), but I can tell that this one has a smoothness that I find appealing. I need to try it again so I can give a better review, but preliminarily, I’d give this tea a pretty high rating!
