Brew for 10 minutes-ish, wait for it to cool, put in fridge; when cold, add lots of ice and drink. Delightfully refreshing for a summer afternoon!

The huge amount of liquorice makes this sweeter than sibling Tummy Tea, and with a little less subtle variety in flavour – but if you want something hot and sweet without falling into cloying, it’s great. Also good cold.

Lovely nutty rice flavour, combined with more delicate sencha flavour. Great for having with food, or when you want a hot, flavoursome drink that doesn’t even skirt near rich/strong.

Lovely fresh peppermint flavour; the cocoa gives a hint of chocolate without being sweet. Lovely fresh nutty flavour of rooibos.

The licorice root in this is amazing – it doesn’t taste like licorice candies, there’s just a very smooth and sweet general flavour and aftertaste. It’s definitely not overpowering, and the fennel seeds and peppermint help balance out the sweetness with freshness.

I tried it iced in the store and was sold, it’s just as yummy hot – better, even, as when cold the peppermint harked back to mouthwash a little bit(!).

This is one of my favourite teas – the sweet pear and jasmine really gives that added refreshing zing that you get a hint of with bergamot. (This comes out especially when you drink it black.)

Everyone I’ve introduced to this tea has adored it.

I don’t ordinarily go for vanilla flavours, but was definitely pleasantly surprised! I am a big fan of strong black teas, and love English Breakfast, so this was a well-chosen gift for me.

The vanilla adds just an edge of sweetness, it’s certainly not dessert-like, or at all artificial.

The beaniness of the vanilla flavour means it tastes very good with soy milk, too.

As soon as I opened the box I began to realise what a great on-the-spot decision it had been to buy it – the smell wafting out was rich and sweet, and peering into the bag I was totally delighted to see the brilliant yellow dried flowers, almost entirely in-tact.

I like to steep it for as long as possible, the gorgeous aroma comes out in the steam and the flavour is smooth and soothing.

Also, the packaging is brilliant – the inner bag comes with a little bulldog clip to keep it sealed.

Best camomile ever!
