4 Tasting Notes
Thought I was looking at a black tea/flower mix when I opened it since I hadn’t personally ordered it but got it from Ashmanra in a box of tea gifts. When I saw the steeped color, I knew it was indeed a green tea, but decided to enjoy it anyway, especially since I had just dumped a one-steep-too-many purr-eh.
Light tea, and though I steeped it for five minutes instead of three, it was not bitter. I’d pair this tea with a banana muffin to increase the sweetness. That’s just me.
Preparation
Eight ounces of boiling water; 1 1/2 teaspoons of tea; three minutes. I added about a teaspoon of black sage honey and a couple of tablespoons of whole milk.
This is tasty and light. Coconut Truffle is a nice afternoon tea. I love the fragrance of toasty coconut wafting in the air as the flavor crosses my taste buds! The chocolate beckons for some spice so next time I brew it, I will add some red pepper flakes.
Eight ounces of boiling water; five steeping minutes.
After waking up feeling like I’d become a sword-swallower in my sleep, I thought this would be a wise tea choice. I had drunk plenty of powdered ginger teas in the past, so what-the-hay, Blue Ginger made sense. I’d already soothed my throat with half of a banana popsicle so my palate was optimistic.
The tea is nice and dark. The ginger isn’t overpowering. The tea has a strength to it but in no way is it bitter. Wondering if there is another steep in this bag.
Second steep was lighter, but still plenty flavorful.
