I bought a box of this a long time ago when I was first exploring tea. I really liked tea with hints of lemon, and still do, so I thought this would be a good buy. This is fairly light tea and not that exciting, but it is doing the trick this morning. Soothing, warm, and lemony. I added a tad bit of honey in hopes to calm the cough. This is not something I would normally drink, but it is a good under the weather tea.

I swear I have logged this tea before, but maybe not. This sachet came in my recent H&S order, along with a huge hand full of others. I manged to catch a summer bug. I blame my one year old:) The daycare is just a cesspool of germs that she brings home and shares with me. My tasters are not great. I tried to drink a cup of Golden Monkey yesterday and that did not end well so I am sticking with the mint teas in my stash until this bug runs for the hills.

With my bad tasters, this was really nice. It was calming, soothing, minty with a slight creaminess. I think I have another sachet of this stashed away at work that I will resteep over and over again. Thank you H&S for the great sample.

Charissa

Hope you feel better soon! Sullivan and I just got over a nasty cold too. No fun.

TeaTiff

Thank you! I am glad you guys are feeling better. Hope the little guys stays healthy the rest of summer!

I do a good chunk of my tea drinking at work, but for some reason I have convinced myself that I should only drink flavored teas, or teas that can take a beating here, leaving a lot of the wonderful oolongs and blacks at home. This tea however sits in a tin in my desk at work and I keep finding myself going directly to THIS tin. My 3oz tin is over half gone in less than a month. Maybe I need to rethink my tea strategy?

This tea is so comforting. A great morning cup, a great post lunch dessert it is all around perfect. Thanks for getting me addicted MzPriss

MzPriss

You’re welcome Tiff. I find this really comforting as well. I think it’s cuddly tea

ohfancythat

I cannot wait to buy this tea. I hope H&S has some sort of Canadian sale at some point

Suziqzer

I can understand why you would venture to flavored when your at work… However I do think there are a probably a few non-flavored that would fit the non-fussy, always good category… Good find!

MzPriss

Also the Wee Snaily Yums (Golden Snail) from Whispering Pines is a nice work tea I find

I have determined that traveling with loose leaf is not for me, too messy. Not to mention the odd stares I get from the non tea drinkers. In order to get through the next few weeks of travel I ordered some sachets from H&S. I am beginning to love H&S. They are reliable, decent priced, and so many options.

This tea came in a HUGE beautiful tin. I brewed up a cup this morning and it smells wonderful. This tea taste malty, slightly sweet, slightly astringent. It is full bodied and rich. I am really enjoying this. I look forward to spending the week with you 30th Anniversary Blend.

MzPriss

I love H&S. I may need to order some of this for the same reason. I have a teastick that is not optimal for travel – it’s hard to get the tea into it without spilling. I want some of their soba anyway so maybe I’ll just order some of this. I WISH their Golden Monkey came in sachets.

TeaTiff

Oh Golden Monkey how I love thee. I almost placed an order for another tin when I put in this order, but held off. I do wish the GM came in sachets for travel. That would be really nice. I looked at the 1lbs price for GM to order next time, but that truly would be a “shitload” of GM.

Cheri

I’ve been there. I’ve done both, traveling with tea and things were fine, and traveling with tea and I had no good way to deal with leaves and messes, and people looking at me funny.

TeaTiff

Cheri – yeah it the depends on the kinds of accommodations. For my trips coming up I will be living out of the bags on my bike or backpacking, so taking the extra stuff to make loose leaf happen is not worth it:)

sherapop

I love this tin, too!

Nicole

I would split a pound of GM with you if you wanted. :) Eventually. When I can buy tea again. :) I was going to grab the 30th Anniv but put my foot down about another order so soon. Glad to hear it is good. On the list it goes!

MzPriss

A shitload of GM would be beautiful, beautiful thing

TeaTiff

Nicole I would take you up on that! I can totally justify half a lbs if GM. Sherapop. It is soo big, but a great addition to the tins. MzPriss a beautiful thing indeed.

This was the sample included with my first order from WP! Thank you!

This is a lovely oolong! This turned out very light for as dark and twisty as the leaves are. I drank WP Huang Zhi Xiang Phoenix Mountain Oolong 2 nights ago and I believe in comparison this tea doesn’t have as much citrusy/fruity tang to it. It is more a roasty nutty flavor. This is more comforting while the Huang Zhi Xiang Phoenix Mountain Oolong has a little more flare. This isn’t the dark, dark side of oolongs, but there is a hint of roast that says hey I am not a green oolong. They are both wonderful and I will definitely reorder this one at some point. Thanks again for the sample and the opportunity to try this one.

This sample is courtesy of MzPriss. Thank you!

I can’t believe you shared this one with me:) This is such a special tea. I will be honest, I was really scared to try it for fear of the price point and the hype. I finally caved today. This is all it is cracked up to be. This tea brings me back to all of my favorite back packing trips, staring at stars around the fire in places that make you feel so small. I can’t really explain the flavor. There is a lot going on here. Black base, sweet, vanilla, cold figure tips and chilled nose. Opps, I am letting my memories slip into my taste buds. This is really good and it has brought a smile to my face this evening! Thank you MzPriss for this special treat.

SarsyPie

I love teas that evoke lovely memories! This one is definitely awesome.

MzPriss

You are so welcome! I’m really glad you like it so much!

TheTeaFairy

This is gold…

Cheri

This is one of those teas that I really want to try, but I think I’m not quite ready for. (Brenden even told me he thought I’d do better with another tea for now.) I love love love saffron, and for that reason alone, I’d love to try this tea. Maybe in a few months….

This is from my WP sample pack. This got left off the purchase list this time around but only because I see myself drinking this more in the fall and winter instead of the summer. This is my last cup of this tea and it is putting me in tea heaven. A warm cup on this polar vortex summer day. It dipped down to high 50’s in July! Bring on the cold. RAGBRAI is next week and cycling and camping in cool summer days would be a dream!!! Amway, back to the tea. This is my 3rd time with this tea and I think I finally got it right. I steeped it a tad longer than suggested and added a bit more leaf. It is nutty, it is has that roasty, citrusy tang that I really like in some oolongs. It is slightly sweet and oh so yummy. Definitely needs to be on the next order.

Terri HarpLady

Today’s weather was heavenly! :)

TheTeaFairy

Lol, it was a polar vortex summer day here too!

I was intrigued by the name of this tea. Ice wine? I am not sure I have the actual wine drink. This smelled a little odd. The taste, not too bad. I can’t put my fingure on the flavors. I was thinking rose? If I think about it a bit I get a redish wine. I am enjoying this cup. Odd and a little different, but enjoyable.

I didn’t realize this was a herbal tea for some reason. I also didn’t realize it had hibiscus. It is a fruity hibiscus mix that is a nice cup for the evening. Nothing I need to own, but a nice cup.

Nothing crazy here. Sweet, light white tea. Hayish flavor. It is a nice relaxing cup that has me digging out my singular tin of plain white tea to sip on this week:)

I started drinking tea while on a 4 month long cycling trip through South America. It seemed to always be a great way to warm up when I was cold and it was always available everywhere. Mate was the big tea of choice down there and it was also a great way to get to know people. When I returned home, my sister introduced me to Teavana and this launched me into the realm of loose leaf tea.
