One of the other free samples I recieved in my most recent order. Have to say I’m not that impressed with it. I feel it would work a lot better if mixed with an oolong tea instad of the mix of nuts. It’s almost like brewing some trailmix. The banana flavor is enjoyable, but the spicy aftertaste of the nuts ruins it. When I say spicy it’s not in a good way. As you sip you get the initial flavor then there is a strange watery flavor inbetween the closing. I’m glad I tried it, but I won’t be buying more.

I had version of this tea from a local tea store a while back and fell in love with the flavor. When I discovered this on Davids Tea I knew I had to buy some. It’s exactly how I remember it. I know some people don’t like some pu erh’s because they have a earthy taste, but the addition of mint and vanilla really help balance out the flavor. If you are used to black teas you really need to give this one a shot. All of that horrible astringency normally present in black teas is nowhere to be found in this pu erh. Nothing but a smooooooooooth cup of delicious tea.

My mouth dropped at the first sip of this tea (well not literally otherwise the tea would have spilled everywhere… but you get my point). I think it’s a perfect bedtime tea. Very sweet and has a creamy, caramel-y fruit flavor to it that is a great way to end the day. I will certainly be ordering a bag of this once I’ve drank through the collection of other tea I’ve amassed recently.

I haven’t had Lipton tea in years, but I discovered this at a local grocery store and it was on sale. I didn’t realize Lipton produced a loose leaf version of their tea, at $4 for half a pound of tea I figured I would give it a shot. I hardly ever add sweeteners to my tea, but one sip of this and I almost choked from the bitterness. I had forgotten how astringent Lipton was. Once sweetened with some honey it’s actually a semi-enjoyable breakfast tea. I don’t regret buying it, but it’s certainly not something I’ll be drinking on a daily basis.

This tea is really unlike anything I’ve personally ever had. Slightly nutty with a sweet initial flavor, absolutely zero astringency, all combine to make an amazing cup of tea. I brewed it in gong fu style and each cup was extremely delectable. At about $7 for 50 grams it’s very reasonably priced for something that tastes so great. I would highly recommend this tea to anyone.

Reminds me a lot of a black tea… The Ooooh Darjeeling has some hints of astringency, but it’s not so in-your-face like with many black teas. It has a malty and slightly fruity flavor which is similar to an earl grey. I think it would probably make a good breakfast tea if you are looking to try something different.

For a store bought bagged tea this isn’t too bad. The flavor, well… imagine eating a lemon head, those little yellow candies. It’s almost like that only more orange-y. It makes your mouth pucker a little. If you’re into sour foods/drinks you’ll probably like it, if you were expecting something sweet there are plenty of other teas out there. I never tried adding sugar or honey, but that might help balance out the flavor a bit.

I haven’t had a green tea in a while so I figured I’d give this one a shot. It’s been sitting in my cupboard tucked away for about a year so maybe that effected the taste a bit, but I really enjoyed this one. The smell of the dry leaves is just a sweet green smell for me and the wet leaves smell strongly of spinach. The taste was the real surprise, very sweet and an incredible buttery mouthfeel. I thought of myself as more of an oolong person, but thanks to this tea I think I’ll have to look into some other green teas.

Probably the only tea I’ve tried from Infinitea and not liked, definitely not for the meek. Whenever I make this tea I really don’t taste any chocolate flavor, it literally is just a searing burn on the tip of your tongue. They weren’t kidding when they said spicy.
