I saw this Might Leaf tea at a local Whole Foods Market so I thought I give this a try. First impression was great (this is before steeping). I love the delicate tea bag and the fact that I can see the contents inside very clearly. I picked up a scent that very fruity and has a honey-like sweetness. I was going to follow the instructions and brew the for 5 minutes but I left the tea bag in the cup for about 9 minutes by accident. By now, I thought the tea was probably going to be very overpowering. However, I was quite shocked/disappointed to find the exact oppossite. Though very perfumey, the tea was rather bland and tasteless. The flavors disappear so quickly that I wasn’t even really to pick up much. The second brew yield the same result. Essentially, it was just a cup of fragrant water.

The bottom line, great presentation but not too thrilled with the tea. I have read a great deal about Might Leaf and a lot of the reviews seemsvery positive. Better luck next time :-/

My order arrived a couple of days ago but I finally got a chance to sit down and give this tea a try. The fragrance is very “creamy” even though that is probably not the right word to describe it. I was taken off guard by this tea’s strong notes. The wheat-like flavor was very delicious. I like the fact that it doesn’t have a lot of the bitterness and astringency that some of the other bi lou chun have. I can still taste the sweet aftertaste even though its been well beyond 5 mins since my last cup. High marks all-and-all. Be warned though that this is not a light flavor green tea.

My first Lupicia tea; this came recommended by a friend. While I don’t usually like a lot of flavored teas, this was certainly a pleasant surprised. The interesting blend is very beautiful in aroma. Right from the bag, I can smell the strong mango and ginger. The brew is very fruity and perfumey. Overall, this is a decent tea in my books.

Tea bag teas are usually not my thing but I thought I give it a try since the sample came with the brochure I ordered. The tea gave out a sweet smell of honey when I first opened and brewed it. However, I was not impressed with the way it tasted. While the smell of the honey was certainly dominate, I was not able to really taste much of it in tea itself. I was also expecting a certain sweet/bitter note from the Ginseng but I did not find any. The slight lingering after taste was a bit awkward/unfamiliar and somewhat unpleasant (perhaps I’m too use to the nice sweet after taste of Oolong teas). Overall, the aroma was nice but the tea was somewhat of a disappointment :-/

I love this tea! Very creamy and not too sweet. I have to get one (or five) everytime I visit Uwajimaya here in Seattle.
