14 Tasting Notes
A delicious flavored Ceylon from Tealuxe. Another hit for me. 4 minutes just under boiling and it wafts caramel and richness. Creme de la Earl Grey from them has the same rich cream smell, which I’m in love with. The caramel blends well with the Ceylon base. It’s delicious as it cools as well. Any bitterness that may seep during cooling isn’t unpleasant with the rich cream notes. I would order this again.
I liked this tea a lot the first time. I reserved “love” for something I would come back to again and again . With my small sample, I couldn’t, but I can say all three times, this was smooth and delicious.
Preparation
This is my favorite of all the EGs I’ve tried! The flavor is smooth, creamy and only slightly acidic. The bergamot is a little sweet and full of citrus fullness and blends with the creamy tea flavor perfectly for me. I love it plain in water, I love it with creamy plain soymilk, I love the smell of it in the tin. Beautiful from beginning to end, in a to-go cup or fancy tea cup.
Preparation
I love earl grey, cuppa of choice. This has a pleasant and smooth black tea flavor but it’s not very strong on bergamot. It’s enjoyable and tasty but not a Holy Grail earl grey. My husband likes it better than the powdered EG from supermarket-available brands but would like a little more bergamot. Overall; not as good as the EGs from Tealuxe (creme de la earl grey is my HG fave so far.)
