424 Tasting Notes
Today’s blog post on www.tealover.net – my review of the Global Tea Hut subscription, and especially the September 2015 publication. I try my hand at Tang Dynasty brewing.
Midori Spring Matcha is organic and the package shows a USDA Organic logo, so that can only be good, right? The matcha arrived in a 30g tin that even identifies the Japanese region where the matcha came from. I like little extra details like that. The tin itself is thick and not flimsy and the label directs the consumer to the company website for recipes and a full brewing guide. Under the screw-off lid, the tin is sealed with a pull up top like Snack Pack from when I was a kid and kids were allowed to lick pudding off of sharp metal.

First of all, nice blog post as always. So, that cup is marvelous :)
While I was in Japan I had these: http://s11.postimg.org/p56qzbtzn/100_1403.jpg
Terribly dry, but there were good matcha snacks such as https://instagram.com/p/1K08G0RYGO/
Today’s review: the Flying Tea Gourd! With a name like that, you have to check it out.

Today on the blog – continuing my journey through subscription boxes, with a look at Amoda Tea, featuring Petali Teas’ Vintage Violet.

This company did so well with the contrasting flavors to appease a tea drinker :). I really like the incorporation of multiple bases. I second the Tangerine Amaretto White Tea!
I can’t believe I have gone so many days in between reviews. I know none of you were probably noticing, but my internal clock was really anxious to get back to writing. Today I have for you a review of the Tomotcha monthly subscription, and their gyokuro, which was the month’s tea that I received.

There were no brewing instructions on the package or on the website, so I went with what I usually do for oolongs – around 185F and gong fu style. I had a very long (not bad, just long) day at work and thought that this tea would be just the ticket. I put about 1t of leaves in my easy gaiwan (don’t judge – remember it was a long day) and started steeping. I was too wiped out to time the steeps so I just brewed by instinct, as I suspect many people do. Luckily the tea was very forgiving.

Guess what. Another subscription box review! This one is about Just Add Honey, which is a tea and honey box.

I’m starting to feel like the queen of Random Steepings, but I don’t know where else to put all of these subscription box reviews.
Today’s post is about London Tea Club. https://tealover.net/2015/08/london-tea-club-subscription-box/
i thought that Jasmine tea whether it black or green should be floral, not cherry or vanilla. is it possible its a diff tea inside the tube?
The price of $19 for 15g of tea is too expensive. I would go with Yunnan Sourcing or White2Tea club first if I join a club.
Today I reviewed the Sei Sei glass travel infuser!
I am a daily travel tumbler user, so I was really excited to have a chance to review the just-released Sei Sei Portable Tea Infuser Bottle. Believe me, I shopped around for a long time before I settled on the tumbler that I use now, and I wish this one had been available back then.

It came from Sei Sei I believe, I was in contact with the guy through Reddit. He had posted about having a new travel mug coming to market. I don’t still have the shipping box to double check.
Hi Cwyn, I’m the founder of Sei Sei Co and sent Marzipan her tumbler.
Game Cache is simply the name of my amazon seller account – amazon only allows someone to have one of these. The name is in the process of being changed, they just takes a while to process these kinds of requests sometimes.
Sorry about the confusion :)
Regards,
Axel
In the past I always made matcha lattes in my blender, so I was really excited to have a chance to try out some more traditional implements. MatchaDNA provided me with a free bamboo whisk and spoon for this review. They are also giving a 25% off coupon code for Tealover readers! That code is: Y98VQ47Z and it is valid for the next three months.

Remarkable! Now to add onion next time :]
Thank you, I didn’t know if this post was a home run or a total bomb.
