10 Tasting Notes
This tea CAN be perfect. I say this because the amount of time you steep is key. Don’t oversteep unless you want a trip to the spice rack in your mouth. Less is more as far as tea to use, as well. Go for the lowballing amount on the label. If brewed correctly, it’s one of my favorite cold weather teas.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spices
Preparation
Exchanged to get this after a nasty run-in with the Imperial Acai Blueberry. I think I needed more tea, or a longer steep, or less ice. The flavor isn’t very apparent, not the way it is in the store. Next time, I’ll cold steep in the fridge overnight, no ice needed.
Flavors: Berry, Citrus, Orange, Orange Zest, Pineapple
Preparation
This makes for a delicious iced tea. Hot as well. It’s almost a mix between an oolong and a green. Just the right hint of citrus. I’ll be getting more, since it’s fairly cheap as well.
Flavors: Citrus, Fruity, Green, Jasmine, Sweet
Preparation
On it’s own, I’ve found that this tea isn’t very remarkable. However, when mixed with Teavana’s Jasmine Oolong, it’s probably my current favorite. The subtle buttery smokey flavors complement the jasmine and the greens very well.
Flavors: Butter, Smoke
Preparation
The spearmint is divine, and this tea is probably my favorite green from Teavana. Do NOT steep past the minute mark, or it will be so strong you won’t be able to drink it.
Flavors: Citrus, Green, Lemon Zest, Mint, Spearmint
Preparation
It tasted a lot like coffee, but also like thai iced tea. I made way too much and didn’t drink much of it either. Maybe less is more in this case, was mainly looking for something to keep me awake.
Flavors: Chocolate, Coffee, Grain, Mocha, Toasty
Preparation
I think maybe I didn’t add enough sweetener for this tea. I had it over ice. However, when I tried some that was still warm in the pitcher, I could definitely taste it better. Good tea overall. Maybe my palette needs to adjust.
Flavors: Apple, Fruity, Green, Peach
Preparation
I made a hell of a lot of iced tea with these teabags. I don’t think I added enough sugar, cause it’s still very bitter. Maybe some of you might like bitter teas, but I prefer a sweet fruity tea if it’s advertised. It’s pretty strong, especially for teabags. I wouldn’t reccomend it cold, but hot, maybe.
