7 Tasting Notes
Wasn’t expecting to like this much, since I am not a big fan of tiramisu dessert. I was actually pleasantly surprised! Nice light chocolate flavor with a distinct coffee tinge that is not overpowering. Decided to re-steep again and still had decent flavor on second try (although I don’t typically need a strongly brewed tea in the first place to enjoy). Happy to say this will be a new nighttime dessert swap-out favorite.
Tried cold steeping this into iced tea yesterday. It was alright, might be better with higher quantity of tea. I’m not a big mint fan, so chalk it up to that, but I just can’t seem to get behind this tea. May try with lemonade or mix into a cocktail.
We have a tin that is a bit past its prime, so trying to sip it down currently but have a long way to go.
Tried cold steeping this into ice tea the other day and came out pretty well. Best way to have this is still hot with milk and a sugar cube or two. Either way, this is a lovely tea.
Felt a sore throat coming on this morning and this was the first of the “health teas” I saw. I know I have had it before but didn’t remember much about it. For having so many ingredients I detest (licorice, peppermint), its actually a pretty good cup. Rather this than echinacea pills!
Perhaps I used a bit too much water in my cup/ under-steeped it a little (since this seems to be more herbal than white tea) but it seemed very watered down, and the only flavor that came through for me was light orange. Not horrible, but was looking forward to the richness of the nuttiness to balance the orange and it just wasn’t there. Will try again with more tea/ longer time to see if it balances out more
