drank Pomegranate by Teabloom

My first experience of flowering teas, and a happy one, I’m pleased to report! My brother and his wife bought me a gift set from Teabloom for my birthday, which contained a tube of twelve different fruit flavoured green teas. Now, while fruit teas are something I’ll happily drink, they don’t rate at the top end of my favourite blends. Green teas – I’m still exploring! Still, the concept of flowering teas has always intrigued me and I’ve been excited about trying out these (not to mention the teapot and teapot warmer that came with them)!

I chose the Pomegrante one first and I’m more than pleasantly surprised. This tastes unbelievably fruity. It’s juicy and flavoursome, rather than the watered down artificial-ness I get from a lot of the fruit teas in my cupboard. I was halfway down my cup before I even remembered this is a green tea! There is a grassy edge to this, but the fruitiness dominates by far. I hope I enjoy the other teas in the tube as much as this one.

Bio

Hi, my name is Amy and I live in Rotherham, in the UK.

I grew up drinking tea (my mother was addicted – she didn’t leave the house in the morning unless she’d had at least three cups!), though it was strictly your basic, everyday brew we enjoyed; huge boxes of teabags stocked up on every week.

Having dabbled with loose leaf teas in my twenties, I confess to being somewhat underwhelmed. Though, of course, my uneducated tea-brain wasn’t aware of brewing temperatures, steeping times and suchlike back then.

Now in my thirties, I’m rediscovering the delight of tea and enjoying the journey. My taste buds are expanding on a daily basis and I’m grasping more and more about the art of tea. I’m still a tea novice, with much to learn and appreciate, but I’m adoring the ride and looking forward to widening my tea collection.

I also enjoy reading, cross-stitch, knitting, gardening, my allotment plot and television.
