I found this tea lounge during a fourth friday art show many years ago. The place is very clean and modern and they offer quality teas. Perfect for a cold Alaskan day in downtown Anchorage. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.
I’m so sad to see that this place has closed! Tru Teas was my first tea bar experience and it was the reason I bought my first teapot. I had a college friend who worked there and opened my eyes to something that was out of my comfort zone at the time. If it wasn’t for this place I may have never gotten into tea.
When I lived in Austin I would buy my loose leaf tea here. It is a nice, brightly lit tea house, however, it gets quite crowded on weekends. I find their teas to be very good quality. I’m glad that I can order them online. The Steeping Room is a great place to check out if you are in the area.
