I really like this handy scoop n slide infuser from DAVIDsTEA.

I use it to scoop tea leaves and steep tea at the same time. It’s essentially a tea ball attached to a handle but I like using it much better than an actual tea ball.

The head of the infuser is pretty large and allows for decent leaf expansion. I’ve steeped various black, green, and oolongs and never had an issue with not enough room for leaf expansion. I make sure not to over stuff the infuser and to put in enough tea to make a single serving.

The holes in the infuser are also small enough in that you don’t have small tea pieces floating around. I also like that the handle never gets hot even though it’s metal.
