Gyokuro Gold is a blend of Yabukita and Okumidori breeds. Its growth process & manner of shading called “Jikagise” method is a little less labor intensive. This line of Gyokuro is allowed to grow to maturity before picked. This combination makes a great mid-grade Gyokuro who’s flavor is not compromised & still contains its high value of nutritional content but easier on the wallet. A good starting point for those new to Gyokuro.
