I am having a pretty darn good day so far. Drank this bulletproof style (added coconut oil). My GI system is definitely not used that lol, but my brain loved it. Even if it’s the placebo effect, I’ll take the upgraded brain function any day.

I don’t particularly like the combo of tea and coconut oil, but I don’t dislike it either. I think tea is best on its own.

That being said, this tea is good. It’s not in my “favorites” category, but it’s nice with primary notes of sweet potato and bread and a faint chocolate note.

OMG with all the samples in my cupboard I really need to get my drink on. I finished this one off today for a good tea to get back in to work with. I was on training for the last 2 days of work so it feels like i’ve been gone forever. Sad to see this one go but also a little happy for the sipdown haha

This was a sample kindly send to me by a steepster to aid in my quest to find black teas I could enjoy without sweetener. I’m beginning to suspect that for me there are not such teas., but the learning process is fascinating.

This tea is intense. Even smelling the brewed infusion smells intense, kind of a sharp, intense smell that almost seems too intense to drink. Without sugar, it is too much for me, but with sugar it got me going pretty quickly.

Ohh, this is lovely. Even just opening my little glass jar and smelling it—it’s all earthy and chocolatey. And the leaves! They’re so furry! I want to name them, keep them as pets, and let them sleep curled up on my shoulder.

I’d describe this tea as sweet potatoey hot chocolate. There’s chocolate and sweet potatoes, of course, but there is also an earthy kind of malty flavor and burned sugar. Sometimes there’s a hint of some bitterness, but it’s very light and comes and goes.

Loving this earthy sweet potato chocolate tea!
