From Yunnan Sourcing

This is Te Ji grade leaf which is slightly larger than Gong ting grade. The tea is the result of a wet pile batch done in Menghai with Menghai area tea leves. It’s a tippy grade Te Ji and the taste is creamy, smooth, but with a thick heavy bite that sticks around in the mouth.

I dunno. A lot happened at work today. I kinda lost track. But it was easy sipping and rather comforting in moments of stress. Yep, I dig it.
and yes, one day soon I shall write an actual review. The cocoa vibe was great…

Re-review time!

amazing what can happen in a few months. this is now a nice strong kick me out of bed shot of shou coffee I really needed. on steep three and feel awake, but solid, not so much heart racing, but eyes wide open(ish). I decided to start watching kurosawas ‘the seven samurai’ (a 3 1/2 hr epic) late last night stayed up too late while getting up at around 7am. I was groggy, and this stuff has done the trick.

If it was the LBZ i tried the other day I think I would be vibrating by now, doing three steeps in a row, but this one feels quite nice, not uncomfortable.

there isnt any bad tastes, I am kinda following a 5/5/7/10 rule. its got a nice thick soup and ohmydays i now actually crave shou puerh. chocolatey & cocoa-ey with something I cant place but its nice, this is the sort of stuff that I would like to drink a whole lot of, but alas I think its still too strong for me qi-wise. im pretty high

perfect for my friends who like a jolt in the mornings

How is “The Seven Samurai?” I’ve been wanting to see it for ages now!

Rasseru

I really enjoyed it :)

KiwiDelight

That movie is impressively good. Kurosawa’s other films are also good.

Rasseru

I’m just finishing ‘Ran’ which is totally brill too. And I have the one where they find a double of an emperor or lord. Can you recommend any others? I dont know what it is but his films are just so enjoyable to watch

Rasseru

started a tea & films thread for just this type of conversation

MadHatterTeaDrunk

Tea + films is quite enjoyable. I’m starting “The Seven Samurai” this weekend! I’ll let you know what I think!

Rasseru

starting is right, its so long it has a five minute intermission :D

MadHatterTeaDrunk

Five minute intermission! And I thought that 2001 a Space Odyssey was long, with a 2 minute intermission….I’ll have to prepare my Saturday with plenty of tea, water, and snacks. Ha-ha.
