9 Tasting Notes
Solid daily drinker is right! I am not a fan of black tea but Sugar Glider might make me a convert! Sweet and bright, this tea stands up to repeated brewings and doesn’t seem to be drastically affected by temperature or steep time (though there’s definitely a sweet spot).
The tin I received was a bit dented, but I am glad to have it as it makes storing this tea easier! Plus the sticker is too cute. When I share, people are always delighted by the design!
Flavors: Earth, Sweet, Yams

I’m glad I went for the full cake on this one and skipped the sample. This tea is gorgeous to look at, the contrast between the leaves making it an absolutely delight to behold. Unwrapped you can already smell the sweetness and steeped there’s nothing more glorious than the warm honeysuckle and nutty flavor that lingers on your palette.
I may need to buy a second cake to age because this one isn’t going to last very long I fear.
Flavors: Hay, Honey, Honeysuckle, Nuts, Nutty, Sweet
Preparation
Aria is sweet and spicy and really doesn’t need any sweetening (if you don’t oversteep). I love the warm cinnamon and cardamom flavors accented with the ginger. The coconut, orange and lemon grass help keep this blend from becoming overwhelming, cooling and brightening this tea.
Flavors: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Coconut, Ginger, Lemongrass, Orange
Preparation
Received a sample from teavivre! I was surprised at how small the flower was – I certainly expected it to be more than 1inch in diameter. However, the tea brews up light and floral with warm honey notes. Definitely a very relaxing a calming flavor. I would be curious to try the cheaper, lower quality versions to see how they compare.
Flavors: Floral, Honey, Sweet
Preparation
Received a sample from Teavivre of this! I enjoyed this tea but have other oolongs that I enjoy more. The first couple steeps are very nice, fruity and floral with nutty undertones. But with each steep the tea progresses into a tangy and slightly astringent taste and gets a very sharp smell. It’s not bad, but I prefer the more mellow front steeps!
Flavors: Astringent, Floral, Grass, Nutty, Sweet, Tangy, Tart
Preparation
A very rich amber brew with a heady earthen aroma and a surprisingly sweet and clean taste filled with a sharp mineral tang and foresty palette (wet earth/leaves, mulch, tree bark). The best way I can think to describe the taste of this tea is like having the ability to drink petrichor.
Highly recommend and need to get more!
Flavors: Autumn Leaf Pile, Earth, Mineral, Molasses, Petrichor, Wood
Preparation
Delicious alone but a very weak tea so I advise steeping longer. The lemon /acid makes the tea change color which is AMAZING but it also kills the tea flavor a bit and the lemon becomes predominant. (Still good though!) I’m not sure if there’s a way to up the flavor without removing the blue color.
Flavors: Floral, Fruity, Lemongrass
Preparation
Love this tea! The anise seed is a perfect compliment to the earthier notes. The whole thing has a very dark, smokey flavor to it. Very strange but very delicious.
