Gongfu!
Very smooth with dense, dark, and surprisingly coating and sweet notes of potting soil, forest undergrowth and decaying wood, beetroot, oatmilk, molasses, Okinawa black sugar, and malt or golden biscuits. Like a cross between some kind of mysterious and broody feeling forest-y profile and a really nice milk tea!? I sort of feel like some kind of bog witch chilling in the darkest part of a forest swamp just drinking a boba and brewing potions. Where did this witch get the boba? Who knows and frankly who cares. This shou is evocative in a weird and fantastical kind of way, clearly. But that’s not a complaint. It’s actually a very fun energy to invite into the rest of my Sunday.
