I have tried this and it was unforgettable. Loved it smell and mixture.

I tried to drink this tea to escape being literally drunk on Christmas day. The following excerpt is obviously me, hammered:

Were the Whispering Pines dude and I connected? Am I a psychic? Should I take up tarot reading or palmistry or numerology or astrology? Or maybe I could acquire a crystal ball? Where does one acquire a crystal ball? Ebay, as it turns out. It’s also possible to get pendulums, runes, and scrying stones."

Sipdown! I am now at 101 teas! How exciting. I hope to be at 80 or less by spring.

So this tea is a chai tea. I am not fond of chai teas and ingredients like ginger and sage make me cringe. However, this tea is quite pleasant. The white tea base is very sweet. The spicy mixture is more cardamon to me with just a bit of ginger and sage. If I was a chai tea fan, I would probably love this tea. Since I am not, I will enjoy this tea today and say goodbye to it.

This tea truly does awaken the senses. I feel a picture of Arizona’s Red Rocks would be a fitting accompaniment for this tea if you’re not so blessed to be able to enjoy the Arizona desert landscapes in person. http://everypictures.blogspot.com/2012/07/red-rocks-arizona-united-states-of.html

There is a beautiful picture of red and orange dust being carried over the red rocks by the wind in the above link. That’s what this tea reminds me of. The flavours of the tea come to your tongue like a warm desert breeze. As you let the tea roll over your tongue you will notice the different tasting notes. The spiciness of the ginger and tellicherry peppercorns. The comforting embrace of cinnamon and cardamom. The sweetness of white tea. An overtone of Sage completes the flavour profile as it brushes over and cleans your palate.

I was worried that this tea may be similar to evergreen spice due to a similar ingredient list, but it really is uniquely it’s own. The white tea really makes a difference giving it a sweeter taste than evergreen spice which has oolong as its base. Evergreen spice’s flavours seem to come in layers that are separated in time. Conversely, Cricket is like a warm breeze that carries that flavours to your tongue in one beautiful swoop.

Really enjoyed this chai. Mellow and lightly spicy in terms of heat. The spices at the front of the sip were cardamom and allspice for me. Sage added depth. This tea is somehow grounding and comforting. Really lovely, and I can’t imagine adding sweetener or milk to it.

This tea was released some time ago, and I immediately knew that I had to have it. I read the description, and it brought me back home. I was born and raised in Arizona, and I’ve been a long ways away from home lately. This description touched my heart, and I honestly had some rough nostalgia. So, I picked up an ounce and waited. I was planning on traveling back home for a week, so I kept this oz on hand to truly experience where it was born, like I was. I kept this bag full of spices hidden until the perfect moment. That moment was an experience I’ll hopefully remember for a long long time. My close friends and I were going on a road trip and hike while I was there on vacation. We picked a taunting mountain spire in Northern Arizona. I packed up my sac full with some beautiful Desert looking cups, my new tea press, Hopper, and an oz of this homey blend. We hiked for hours and climbed for longer. The desert was filled with the all too familiar red dust, smooth scents, and light sage in the air. The climb was pretty steep at 900 feet+ in .9 miles, so we were getting tired. We pressed on in anticipation of watching sunset at the summit. Finally, after climbing for most of the day, we reached the top. We couldn’t have planned it any better. I had the exact right amount of time to unpack the tea goodies and brew up a pot as the sun split at the horizon and blasted the sky with its pallet of colors. We sat on the mountain top and enjoyed some of the best chai I’ve ever had. The dry tea complimented the beauty of the desert with its delicate silvery curls, crimson red saffron, and small sand colored spices. The brew was sweet smelling with warm spiced tones. The taste was astonishing! My friends and I sat atop the mountain enjoying the landscape that inspired the beautiful blend we sipped on. They all were enthralled by its experience. This is what the magic of tea is all about! I could taste the dry desert floor as the wind carried the sage. I took in the spice of the mesquite and ironwood trees spread throughout the valley. I savored the sweetness of the desert and the beauty of one of the best sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. This tea made an amazing memory for me, and I will treasure that. I suggest others should try this out. There is nothing more special than being at a tea’s birthplace; whether it be a lush garden in Yunnan, or a dry desert in Arizona. It’s something special. I learned more deeply about the inspiration of this blend, and It’s beautifully thing to see how Cricket can bring so much joy and magic. This blend will be one for the books for me.

I love white teas, and this was the only white blend, so I “had” to try it! I wasn’t sure how I felt about a white chai, and I’m still not sure. To me, chai is best enjoyed with milk and I am not sure this would take milk well.

On the other hand, this tea is blended very well and the flavours meld well together.

Brenden’s description is very accurate. This tea is an obvious chai with a weird mesquite undertone that really reminds me of traveling in Egypt. It was not as sweet as I was expecting it to be, but the taste was consistent in every steep with the mellow white tea contrasting to spicy texture hinted by berries.
