China. Robust, sweet, and malty, full-bodied, with a slightly smoky, floral fragrance. The loose leaf experience. For true tea lovers, nothing compares to the experience of the aroma and flavor of loose leaf tea. Since these leaves aren’t constrained by a pre-measured steeping bag, your palate is your guide to full-flavored enjoyment. And making the perfect cup of tea starts with a quality filtered or spring water. The leaves for this classic English Style black tea come from Yunnan’s high mountain tea gardens. It’s a morning staple with milk and sugar. We’re proud of this English Breakfast loose leaf tea and we hope you’ll agree. Remember, your satisfaction is always guaranteed with Wegmans brand products – The Wegmans Family. Certified Organic by Quality Assurance International. USDA Organic. Country of Origin: China.

Richly flavored yet light, naturally quite sweet, toward malty. Minimal, if any, new notes on the second steep, just muted flavor. This is a no-brainer for a go-to breakfast tea that will gently and smoothly bring you into the day by awakening your taste buds with a kiss.

Note: may come in bags, per Ethos much earlier review, but I purchased it from the bulk tea bins.

Good morning! This is the winner from the teas that I picked up! I’m not saying that this brew is perfect or anything, but it does make for a great everyday black. The thick coffee liquor is sweet and slightly spiced. This is a light and bright black tea. There is a slight black tobacco flavor with smoke. These flavors may not sound all that light, but there is a underlining floral tone. This undertone brightens up the whole drink and makes for a great morning cup.The only problem I have is it becomes slightly astringent, but I’m sure I can tweak the brewing and fix that right up! I have found my staple for the cupboard :)

A Wegman’s just opened up near me. Of course I headed straight for the tea aisle. Imagine my delight to find they sold bulk loose tea! Picked up some of this stuff.

The aroma hits you with a pungent, woodsy punch. The liquor is a rich brown, like fine Corinthian leather, or maybe medium-roast coffee. The flavor, a hint of smoke, pipe tobacco leaves, a little dark chocolate, a nip of bitterness but not too much. Actually, it kind of reminds me of Scotch. It’s both rough and refined at the same time. Feels nice going down and warms your insides. But unlike most English Breakfasts, I don’t get much malt at all. This is one I could see myself acquiring a taste for. And it’s cheap, too!

I’m so disappointed that I passed over this tea for so long. I generally prefer Irish Breakfasts as I find English Breakfasts too weak so I didn’t even give this one a chance. Last week they were out of Irish so I picked this one up to tide me over until I could re-stock. And I’m happy to say it is absolutely lovely. I have to admit I think it’s mislabeled (in my store it is only labeled English Breakfast) as it really should be called Chinese Breakfast in my opinion. It’s chock full of sweet caramely slightly malty Yunnan goodness, but without any of the briskness I usually associate with English Breakfast blends. I heartily recommend this one if you are looking for a delicious Yunnan, not so much if you’re in the market for an English breakfast blend.

I believe this is Rishi’s China/Yunnan Breakfast.

I completely agree that it’s not really an English Breakfast. I love it though! Excellent tea, especially for the price.

Was ok. Not impressed, but definately not bad. Better than a lot of teabags for much cheaper though.
