From Tribute Tea Company

Declared an official Tribute Tea in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the legendary Melon Seeds is equally unique in appearance and flavor. It was honored in Lu Yu’s legendary book of tea, Cha Jing, cementing its status as a long cherished leaf in China.

In 1971, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was gifted this exquisite green varietal. Pan-fired processing imparts an aroma of roasted chestnuts and fresh, grassy notes of sweet potato and spinach.

Notes: sweet potato, spinach, chestnut

Infusion: 170ºF / 77ºC for 30 seconds

Origin: Qitou Mountain, Liu An, Anhui Province, China
