Arya Tea Estate in Darjeeling is renowned for its line of jewels which you are aware of and this 2012 Darjeeling Second Flush, we have bought all of their jewel teas. But apart from the special teas, Arya also produces a limited amount of classic Darjeeling Teas both in clonal and china varietal. When it comes to clonal teas, we prefer the special jewel teas because most of them are made using clonal tea leaves and the best picks, but their section of china tea bushes cannot be avoided – its a small tea estate and they have a small section where they grow pure china tea bushes and hence produce some excellent muscatel Darjeeling Teas which are good quality and affordable.
