Origin: 300 m. above sea level, Baguashan, Nantou, Taiwan.
Harvest: 31th December 2021
Cultivar: Si Ji Chun (Four Seasons)

Dong Pian means frozen petal and it’s unique kind of Taiwanese oolong.

Tea is produced after regular winter harvest – usually during last days of December or first part of January.

To understand the Dong Pian phenomena is a sudden rise in temperatures during the winter. The bushes wrongly “think” it’s a beginning of the spring and they starts to bud!

To make Dong Pian Oolong the buds and older leaves are used. Sometimes the buds are very very tiny.

Our Dong Pian is smooth, balanced and unroasted. You will find here floral notes of orchid, lily of the valley and pleasant creamy notes that make the liquor texture more intriguing.

Highly recommended!
