From The Tea Nation

The red raspberry plant was cultivated in Europe for centuries, originally growing wild from Greece to Spain and to the North from Norway to Sweden. The Romans spread the seed of raspberries throughout their empire. The first raspberry plant nursery in the American colonies was established in 1737 in Flushing, New York. Raspberry fruit is very high in antioxidants. We have flavored our Pure Ceylon high grown teas with the most distinguished raspberry flavor so that you can enjoy it any time of the day. This tea is particularly good after breakfast. Black tea is most commonly produced in South Asia and Africa. It has a stronger flavor than most other teas and also has higher caffeine content. Black tea is prepared from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis and it is the most fermented of all teas. Black tea from Ceylon Tea is primarily produced using the orthodox method, where tea leaves are first harvested and then rolled to small pieces and fermented. The fermented tea leaves are dried using fire kilns. This process gives black tea its characteristic strong, full-bodied flavor and deep brown color.

This is not an especially flavorful tea. The raspberry flavor is good, but there’s minimal tea flavor. Kind of bland, but drinkable when a cup of tea is necessary.
