From The Tea Leaf Theory

A rare batch of summer black tea from the misty mountains of Roing Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, a Himalayan state in India bordering Assam. The fresh air from the Himalayas gives a very distinct flavour and to this highland organic Assam variety. When infused it produces a bright full bodied liquor with a good amount of briskness and mild hint of honey and citrus fruits. The palette is treated with a persistent astringency which stays for some time. It pairs impeccably with milk.

I brewed this gong-fu style, but also have also enjoyed it in a western-style brew with a lower leaf/water ratio. Full-bodied, with notes of chocolate, malt, and ripe fruits (plum/prunes?). It has a slight astringency that cuts through the weighty flavour. Delicious and very affordable tea.
