From The Tea Girl

Fine Japanese sencha and bancha blended with rose blossoms, jasmine blossoms and safflowers, caramelized with creamy walnut flavours.

Blenders Notes: Sweet caramel flavours are not usually paired with green tea, but the rich buttery notes of the Japanese tea gives a great base for this creamy flavour combination. The walnut plays off the caramel to give just a hint of woody depth and the rose lightens the aroma.

Flavours: Walnut, Caramel, Chocolate

Ingredients: Green tea, rose, jasmine, safflowers, cocoa beans, flavour (no actual nuts)

Latte Sipdown (209)

Thank you Sil for sharing but this wasn’t for me. Made it as a latte but it was still overly grassy and drying from the floral notes. I do get a nutty top note but it plays into the grass. I don’t like it.

Sil

i think this was one i didn’t even try haha

2020 Advent Calendar from The Tea Girl – Day 13

DISCLAIMER – I did find a tea with the same name by The Tea Girl in Steepster, but checked the ingredients and they are very different, as this tea is nut free (confirmed with the vendor, as I have a severe peanut allergy so this one scared me haha). So I’ve added this one with 2020 in the name, so the old version and tea note attached was not lost!

Backlog from Monday – so since I got behind on the weekend, I had this tea on Monday. I also was a bit worried about it as I noted above – I have a peanut allergy and avoid all nuts. Now, this advent calendar is clearly noted nut-free, as is the tea labelling, but old habits made me message the vendor to confirm – yes all was good, no nuts!

So brewing this up, it smelled amazing! Caramel and SUPER NUTTY. So my brain is freaking out a bit, but I bit the bullet and drank it. And obviously, no side effects, no negative effects, just a delicious tea down the hatch and tasty on a dreary Monday! Yum! The caramel notes were amazing, and the nutty woody taste paired quite well! I enjoyed this! I am sad I will likely never have the courage to try a real walnut truffle, but at least I can enjoy it in tea form! Thank you @The Tea Girl for making an amazing nut-free tea!!
