Sipdown!
Not bad, actually pretty tasty for a bagged rooibos. Nice and lemony and spirit lifting :)

I still love the scent of this tea. I let it hover right below my nose as I used the heat to warm my hands and the citrus and lemon balm scents to lift my spirits. So this all makes me happy, but drinking the tea is kind of meh. If anyone would like a few bags, let me know. I have a few to spare.

Janefan

I agree – the scent and color are better than the flavor, but overall it is an uplifting experience.

Nice review Meghann M would you be willing to send me a bag to try?

Meghann M

@silvermage, thank you, and certainly I will send you a bag. I should have your address in my messages from the cherry teas swap. I have the Get Charged as well if you would like to try that one too!

silvermage2000

finished off my travelers tin (come on cupboard i need some space!) with a 7 minute 6 ounce steep, i feel this needs a long steep and sweetener, it smells peachy, and tastes like fruity roobois per my last note, but although pleasant i think i have other favorite reds I’d rather stock.

Would say that it had an effect on you in regards to medicinal qualities?

AmazonV

they said you need to have 2-3 cups a day, for days in a row, which i didn’t (the sampler then would have been gone in one day) so i can’t it did – but i also didn’t follow directions. Based off having their other “get” series I would say it’s more aromatherapy than anything else (it smells summery adn happy)

Jillian

Good point, also I think they had to use extremely low does of a lot of the herbs to avoid getting into trouble with the FDA. Some of those herbs can be nasty is you overdose or if it interacts with certain medications.

AmazonV

Very good point, then again I’ve tried all sorts of OTC herbal pills as well (primrose oil? etc) for various things and I didn’t notice a difference, but i think for a lot of things you might need to be taking a more scientific approach to see anything – small changes and changes to you are harder to spot. so for now, vitamins and comforting tea will do, maybe a sun lamp too?

Jillian

I usually just stock up on Vitamin C & D supplements and pray for spring – at least the weather seems to be obliging this year! :D

This is another blend I got from Meghann M. Thanks once again. I could taste the roobios slightly but not over the top which makes me happy. While lemon Is not one of my favorite fruits in this Its not extremely tart and it blends well with the peach which I like. I believe this is a pretty good.

Meghann M

I"m glad you liked it!

I’m ridiculously susceptible to suggestion, so honestly just looking at this bright yellow tin with its cheerful exhortation puts a smile on my face. Luckily on top of that it has a really pleasant flavor! It’s lemony without being at all overbearing about it – I think even without the name I’d probably describe the flavor as bright and cheerful. I don’t get much of the peach flavor, but it’s a nice cup even without, so I can’t complain.

I just put this one through a ridiculous steep time – as in I set two bags into a portable cup about forty-eight hours ago in anticipation of taking it out with me, and ended up leaving it steeping in my intermittently very warm car for two days straight. I just took it out now and it’s quite tasty. God bless rooibos, it can really take so much abuse.

That’s an impressive steep time! :)

Sounds like you’re having a similar week to mine. I can barely make tea correctly this week I didn’t bother to log. Ok so maybe we’re opposite lol- but our weeks still have the same craziness.

I have to agree with Mitch. I initially tried this tea because of the interesting blend of lemon, peach, and roobios, but it actually makes me feel happier when I drink it. It has a very fruity and cheerful taste as well as smell to it. I’ve shared this tea with five other people so far and they have all enjoyed it as well. This is definitely a staple for me to wind down my day with.

Citrus. I don’t get lemon, or peach…more of an orange. I LOVE the smell of this tea. For me, that’s where the “happy” comes from.

Sipping it, I get that same “scratchy” feeling in my throat as I get when I drink chamomile, but it’s not very bothersome.

With this tea, I just let the teabag sit in the cup, and drink it without additives.

This is the last tin I’ll be able to find locally. I used to purchase RoT’s teas all the time years ago, but they have just become too pricey, imo. I found this one on clearance, which is why I picked it up. I like this tea a lot, and now I won’t be able to buy it again. I’m always doing that to myself. Must stop buying limited edition or discontinued items!!!

Sweet and pleasant yet I cannot say that I feel this promised “burst of sunshine”. This one has been in my cupboard for a while and I’m sorry to say that its not one I find myself needing. I have other options that are more appealing.
