From Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco, how many moons ago.

Mastress Alita’s Monthly Sipdown Challenge, April 2022 — “A Tea That Includes a Color in Its Name”

The entire age-darkened and -frosted 25g? orange in a teapot that I think is either 750 or 500mL, brewed for for several rounds. The tea came out such a rich color with a taste so smooth. Supposedly 17 years mature, this had rounded and deep notes that encompassed much of the range of shou pu’er flavor profiles and a strong and smooth zesty-piney aroma and taste from the aged orange vessel. Clean, not dank at all, nourishing and hearty. Also tasty drank cold.

It was perfect for a cold and blustery day earlier this week. This is one really good specimen and a reminder that I need to visit the Phoenix Collection one of these Saturdays.

Congratulations on reaching 1,200 tasting notes! If I drank 25 g of tea in a day, I don’t think I’d sleep for a week! :)

Hehe, I drank 3 cold pots of this over the next 2 days. It was a lot of tea and caffeine but I couldn’t be assed to break up the orange. Also happened to be that time of the month where no matter how much caffeine I drink, my heart doesn’t palpate and my head is still in a fog.

Leafhopper

LOL, drinking it over two days sounds more reasonable. I was also picturing you having 10-12 pots of tea, which would be enough to send anyone to the stratosphere.
