I don’t mind this tea, although it is not my favorite. There is a fine line between getting the right steep or steeping too long. If it steeps for too long it gets quite bitter. It leaves a harsh sour aftertaste in your mouth. I find it makes a good mint green tea when mixed 1:1 with spearmint (I used David’s Tea spearmint).

I will most likely finish the tea I have but will try other brands/companies for something a bit more smooth.

I have had experiences with Gunpowder tea being a little too strong or too lite when it comes to the use of mint. I never experienced much bitterness but mostly tannins from the bulk tea I buy from World Market stores. I recommend to get Gunpowder in Adagio, it has
a smoky profile, with a touch of nuts and straw. Its not minted however, but goes well with fresh mint and has a balance between tea and the mint.

Thanks! That sounds good, I will have to try it.
