From Ten Ren Tea

Ten Ren’s Whole-Leaf tea bag series offers tea bag enjoyment in a whole new way. Whole-Leaf tea bags are manufactured with a special new machine that allows the whole tea leaf, as found in our loose tea products, to be placed into a tea bag instead of having to cut the tea leaves into a smaller size. Some tea connoisseurs believe that whole tea leaves are one of the best ways to enjoy tea. Jasmine Green Whole Leaf tea bags is composed of Green tea leaves scented with fresh jasmine petals. Jasmine Whole Leaf tea bags composed of Pouchong (Chinese Green) tea leaves scented with jasmine petals is also available. Water at about 175°F or 80°C should be used for steeping.

Note – The Chinese version of this tea provides these directions:
Pour boiling water over the tea bag and brew for 3 to 5 minutes or to desired strength. Remove the tea bag and serve.

Ahhh. I am so very very excited about the fact that I got to leave work early today and don’t have to do any work tomorrow. I plan to try out some tea cocktail recipes tonight. I’ll let y’all know how it goes!

But to kick the evening off right, I shall begin with one of my all-time favorites. I had this with some cheese (Humboldt Fog) on toast. The jasmine aspect of the tea complemented the cheese well. As always, a comforting and delicious cup.
