Made in a Bai Mu Dan style (with some broken leaf which tends to give it more body), this white tea is smooth, slightly sweet, and a little herbaceous with a creamy, buttery texture. It is made in northern India at one of the oldest commercial tea gardens in India called Champawat.
The Kumaon region in northern India may be the very first place British planters cultivated tea plants, but it never developed commercially because it is so remote. Kumaon is located approximately halfway between Darjeeling and the northern most tip of India.
