From Tealux

One of the more popular teas in the neighborhood is this delightful blend of lichee and jasmine. The flavor of the tea is incredible – tangy notes of lichee dance above the exotic tones of jasmine intertwined with touches of honey, citrus and green apple. From the first sip you’ll understand what makes it so popular

Cup Characteristics: Very very nice. Superb synergy of jasmine, green tea and luscious lichee fruit. Sweet fruit finish.

Ingredients: Luxury green tea, Jasmine blossoms.

I ordered a sample of this because the last Lychee green tea I tried was by Tetley, and it was horrible. I was curious if Tealux could do better.

It has a very floral smell in the bag. I’m assuming that’s the jasmine. I served this to a friend tonight, and she said that she could really taste the lychee in it. I could taste it a bit, but it also tasted a bit bitter to me, even though I was really careful to only steep it for 2 min, and did so at a lower temp than suggested.

It’s better than the Tetley version, I’ll give them that, but it’s just kind of blah overall. I’m glad I got the sample size.

I’ve had this tea for awhile and brewed it up a few times. I think because I like hot teas I might have been brewing it at a slightly higher temperature than I should . This time I decided to reduce the temperature and it was a much nicer tea. The lichee comes through first with a nice base green followed by the jasmine notes. Glad I gave it another try.
