Got this from Tea Haus, though it is obviously this tea here (even has the 992 note on it) from TeaGschwendner. Mouthful of a name.

This is definitely cherry but there is a touch of something..waxy almost. Like I’m licking a cherry scented candle instead of drinking a cherry tea. It’s definitely sour cherry, although that’s usually fine with me since I like those as actual cherries during cherry season (where I’m lucky to live in WA so there’s tons of cherry varietals around. Rainier anyone?).

This is tolerable but overall just okay. Not the great tea I was hoping for. Still searching for a cherry tea for me then. Oh well.

I’m a bit disappointed with my trip to TeaGschwendner. I bought 2 fruit infusions and one black tea, and even though they all smelled wonderfully, none of them lived up to my expectations. This wild cherry (Wildkirche) black tea is actually the best of the bunch but still, it leaves a bitter, almost metallic aftertaste in the mouth, which is never a good thing. Maybe it’ll try using a bit less tea next time…

I don’t drink fruit teas very often, but my sister wanted to try this. Very good. We steeped for the full 10 minutes (5-10 recommended). Very cherry, and very red. I wouldn’t want to spill it on a white shirt.

Tasty, even better with a hint of sweetness & milk.
