This produce from Margaret’s Hope truly is an embodiment of all the fine characteristics attributed to Darjeeling’s fine teas. Our first offering from the famed Margaret’s Hope tea estate known for producing excellent first flush teas and this one is no different. Our selectors have termed it the best 2014 Spring (First Flush) Tea as it makes a highly varied and complex cup; boasts fruit (white grape skins/cherry), a slight tartness and a refreshing, but not over-strong, greenness. Complexity rolls in the mouth and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. It is made from AV2 clonal plants known for excellent flavour and this is very pronounced in this tea. When steeped for 3 minutes, it produces an excellent aroma and when steeped for 5 minutes or more it assumes a significant body without loosing the flavour. Try this “self-drinker” on its own.
