From Tea Urchin

This cake is made from specially selected sweet tea trees near Lao Man E village of the Bulang mountain range. It still has the characteristic bitterness of a Bulang Puer, but with an additional sweet top note that makes it more accessible to non masochists. Completely hand picked and hand processed in Lao Man E, this cake is still the most beautiful looking cake we’ve seen, with robust leaves & fat, shiny buds covered in downy white hairs.

I have truly gone astray into the world of Sheng Puer a

fter erichbenoit was beyond generous in sending me samples of the tea worlds finest treasures. This one is intense. Intense in aroma. Intense in flavor. My mouth is wet with its beautiful flavor. A flavor that seems to linger endlessly. The energy I am feeling is beyond description. This is serious tea. Very serious. As you can see by my typing skills being totally impaired.
Bonnie

I’m chuckling imagining you tea drunk trying to make sense of your keypad.

Charles Thomas Draper

Bonnie the only thing that made sense was the tea.

Being rendered into stumbling typing is sometimes highly recommended. Especially when tea is involved. It took its’ place righteously then, hehe.

Thank you Paul. I am very grateful to have this humble leaf in my life.

Sampling this amazing sheng is like test driving a Ferrari or Aston Martin; it confirms that there is a level of excellence and a driving experience that is transcendent. Unfortunately, it also makes your own car seem like an ox cart. You buy these shengs from Tea Urchin for the long haul. Right now they are wild, mercurial, and exploding with fruity, grassy/grainy flavor, and there’s something enjoyably masochistic about the bitter fruit. The time will come when the this tea will mature into something incredible, but by then I’m sure my sample will be gone.

Nice comparison :) ! I’ve been itching to make an Urchin purchase. I’ve held off, but i’m reading a lot of positive feedback, so I think an order is soon coming.
