Sipdown (1953)!

Look, I get why it was done. However, the inclusion of so much chamomile in this blend was an unpleasant discovery for me. It totally tainted the otherwise nice balance of floral and soothing lavender with simple, bright lemon. I hate chamomile so much. Hard, hard pass. If you’re putting that much of it in a blend you should indicate something to allude to it in the name.

This tea as interesting. I did not like the smell of the tea when I opened up the packaging, it smelled like cleaning chemicals. The tea itself was OK. The lemon and lavender do well together, however.

The mister and I were lured out to a local wine bar for drinks and tapas with friends. So I’m drinking this one as my pre-bedtime tea. Smells a bit like Pine-Sol when I opened the packaging. Which means I had little hope of finding this one tasty. But I’ve been wrong before. Steeped tea smells more like chamomile and lavender…things are looking up! The taste is an interesting combination of chamomile, lavender, and lemon. It isn’t bad…which is good. But it isn’t really anything to write home about…which isn’t good, if you follow me. Long story short, I think I would drink this one again.

Subtle and clean. The lemon does not overpower the lavendar. Well balanced with lavender notes on the initial taste and lemon essence on the finish. However, not as bold as I had hoped for. Would prefer more of a punch from the lavendar.
