I think I need to try this one hot.

I iced it by steeping for 4 minutes then adding some ice and cold water. For me, one bag in the ‘iced tea’ format makes 2 litres, or about 1/2 gallon.

I also added 2 tbsp sugar, which upon reflection, is a bit much for me. Oh well. It’s still tasty. I really like this iced tea, and will definitely pick up some more next summer.

I’ll be bringing this to work in my water bottle. Especially since I sit in front of space heaters all day, I need to remember to hydrate! My skin is so dry…

SIPDOWN! and thank goodness because i’m going to be back over 200 again in a few hours thanks to a visit from cavocorax This one is a little bitter but it’s not too shabby. it’s a lot more pomegrante than blackberry. I added a bit of honey to this isntead of sugar and it’s blended nicely with the taste of the tea. not too bad!

Well, can’t have you stay under 200, right? RIGHT?

Many thanks to OMGsrsly for passing down a bag of this! I could always have more iced tea in my life. I’ve pretty much been drinking it in place of water over the past few months. Yikes. At least I never add any sweetener to mine.

This tastes a lot like raspberry leaves to me, or some sort of berry leaf, combined with a bright pomegranate note. The base is mild and allows the other flavours to shine. Behind the other flavours, I can taste blueberry after a while.

Already down to my last glass and here I just started drinking the two litres when I got home three hours ago.

Dry, this tea smells strong of Ceylon tea and candy like blackberry scent. Brewed the tea is much more pomegranate smelling. Slightly sour, not too sweet.

The hot brewed tea tastes like tart pomegranate, but not so tart it is puckering. I added about 2 tsp of sugar and chilled over ice. The iced tea tastes of slightly sweet but still tart pomegranate. There is still a candied blackberry taste. The Ceylon base is medium strength under the fruity flavour. It is just bordering astringent. Brewed this one for 4 minutes in 24 oz boiling water.

Now that it’s so hot, I’ve gravitated to iced teas (except when I’m craving a good cup and decide to turn on the A/C to make it really enjoyable). I had not tried Tea Forte’s iced tea blends, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Nantucket Tea sampler I bought two days ago. The first candidate: Pomegranate Blackberry is fantastic! Fruity and smooth, I really like this one. Now, I need to buy a larger supply of it…and test the rest in the sampler packet. I’m hopeful that most of them will be enjoyable.

This is soooo good cold. Steeped strong hot and chilled in fridge. Wonderful dark fruity flavor.

Really crisp and refreshing on a warm day. Delicious alternative to water.
