From Taiwan Tea Crafts

Three generations of family know-how in naturally scenting teas is blended into this offering. Our Osmanthus oolong is prepared by choosing the freshest organic flowers from the 1st and 2nd day of a new seasonal bloom. These are the most fragrant and sweet which will render our tea a beautifully balanced and delicate floral aroma with distinct fruity notes that evoke apricot. Osmanthus also renders a beautiful creaminess to the cup which further accentuates the natural creamy finish of the Jin Xuan varietal used as a base for this blend. All in all, a beautiful balance of good body and lingering presence with soothing ethereal notes. A perfect cup for dreamy afternoons. Lot 662 is a new production made from Spring tea and scented in October during the Fall bloom of the osmanthus plantations that surround our premises.

Pardon me, I’m tea buzzed. Short note.

Tastes like sipping on toffee loaded with chopped dry-roasted almonds. Nice florality and pervasive fresh grassiness and plant stems. Osmanthus is subtle and puts a smile on my face. Bitterness and minerality keep it from becoming cloyingly sweet. Yes.

Longer gongfu steep times and no rinse because I didn’t want to wash away the osmanthus scenting.

I love this one too and reach for it more than my other flower scented teas. It’s a good one for grandpa steeping.

I’ll have to try the remaining amount grandpa, then. I wonder what the oxidation percentage is of this tea. It’s so much more darkly sweet than other Jin Xuan I’ve had.
