For me this is Strawberries & Cream stoic cousin, it’s far less sweet than Strawberries & Cream and to me tastes less of strawberries and more of a generic berry. It is a lovely brew both hot and iced but it isn’t that sweet and certainly isn’t overpowering, I found it a little disappointing and wouldn’t buy again but if you like the taste of berries and want something light and more tart than sweet than this is for you.
Tasting as one of a sample pack, and, frankly, to wash the taste of an earlier tea I did not like at all out of my mouth, and I have to say I like this more than I expected. I agree that it is somewhat reminiscent of a fruit leather / fruit rollup sort of flavor and very tart. If you like hibiscus, this is like a gentler, more nuanced, deluxe hibiscus blend. I can see wanting this when I have a cold, for a bright, clear, tart flavor that I could probably still taste even when stuffed up and a nice warming sensation … or on its own or mixed with other flavors for an iced drink or berry-lemonade on a hot day. If I had it, it would not go unused, but it’s a bit pricey for me to spend just to have on hand. Something I might keep in mind, though.

As I sit here huffing the tea through the box, I can’t quite place the smell of the dry leaf. It sort of smells like a strawberry fruit strip, but less like a fruit roll-up and more like the kind of no-sugar-added variety you’d find at Whole Foods.
Hibiscus is the first ingredient, so the first unsweetened sip did make me pucker a bit – a bit like tasting one of those awful unripe strawberries that are completely white inside. The addition of sweetener mellowed the tart hibiscus enough to really enjoy the strawberry flavor. It made a very nice glass of iced tea.
I was fully expecting to prefer Fruitalicious, but Strawberry Sensation was the more impressive of the two blends sampled tonight. Is it a tea I need to have in my collection at all times? No. Is it a nice strawberry tea? Absolutely. I’ll enjoy sipping down the rest of my 100g. It’d probably make a nice base for a tea cocktail too. I can imagine it’d go quite nicely with some tequila and fresh lime. #lush
